Michael Graham sold my parents property, and they were first rate form start to finish. They had to sell the property 3 times as the first two buyers turned out to be time wasters, but MG were great as their motivation to sell the property never waned. They kept a constant stream of buyers coming through the door. They were always friendly, helpful and professional, so when other agents approached us trying to get our business, we never had any doubt we were with the best agent. Everyone we dealt with there was excellent, but in particular most of our dealings were with Roger, and Lee who did a great job of monitoring and managing progression of the chain, giving us regular updates. Communication was always excellent, with them always getting back to us speedily. Totally recommend the team at Michael Graham!

I was personally an estate agent for 9 years and while admittedly it was a long time ago - there are basic principles that I feel an agent selling your property should do.
The key one is communication.
When I was manager I would speak to all buyers and sellers in my pipeline once a week while the sale was ongoing (or make the negotiators/sales be in contact).
This is really the area in where this agent falls down. Moving house can be a truly tough and stressful time and the one thing that you would like when taking on an agent and committing a large sum of money to that they provide a service.
Now to be fair, Micheal Graham sold my house quickly but to be frank it was a really nice family home in a very sought after area and this was never going to be a "hard sell".
In October 2024, I came to realise that the last communication I had from the branch manager was the 15th July and it was a simple sentence of - Hi mate - I'll keep you updated.
Since then I have then had to speak to the conveyancers myself most of the way through this process (and to give some context on why I feel compelled to write this review) the conveyancers are being paid £10,000 less than the agent! As far as I can see they have done most of the work within this sales process.
I decided to write to the MD and make him aware of the service levels I am receiving - note I am not asking for money off or a refund of money (as I know how hard it is to get this off an agent) but merely a cry to help me and also improve the work levels of the staff in the branch.
Days later I still haven't had a reply from him however now the manager asked me to call him for an update!
I had to give a request to either email me back or ring me the next day as I didn't have time to take a call at the time he had contacted me. The reply was again a one liner to say that a completion date in November is being discussed, and that I should feel free to call if I want a chat about my property.
The response perceived by me once again was minimal and reactive rather than proactive, and slightly seems to make me feel that I must reach out to them if I want updates rather then they provide the service of giving it to me.
I am just incredibly sad that this agent has been used and therefore I feel rather than waste anymore time trying to redeem and get a service - I best put the effort into helping others avoid my misfortune!
Ask the agent you intend to take on what is their process for not just selling the property but also how they will look after the sale as it goes through also.
I am sure that there are plenty of success stories for this agent but in my humble opinion their standards are far below the fee that they charge and for me if I had had maybe 3 - 5 calls over the the last 3 months then I wouldn't probably have any issue and this review wouldn't be online.
So to finish up - the communication was very poor - the attitude when reaching out to them re lack of service is beyond any I have experienced before in terms of "really couldn't give a damm" - the fee they charge would be 'ok' if they provided an exceptional service that took the stress away and kept you firmly in the loop ... However in conclusion I would be hard pressed to recommend anyone to use this agent and the fact that I rarely write negative reviews I felt so compelled to help others avoid my pain.
Personally I have learned a lesson hence why I will only use agents like Elevation and Thomas Connolly, who manage my rental properties from now on and the service and fee that they offer is high premium compared to Michael Graham.

We recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Michael Graham – Central Milton Keynes for the purchase of our new property, and it was nothing short of a nightmare. Unlike Chewton Rose, who efficiently handled the sale of our previous home, Michael Graham was disappointingly unprofessional and unresponsive throughout the entire process.
From the very beginning, Michael Graham's lack of proactivity was evident. Their communication was poor, and they failed to keep us updated on important developments. On the day of completion, the situation deteriorated further. Both the branch manager and another key team member were unreachable, leaving us in a lurch at a critical moment.
After the completion, we were left standing outside our new home with four vans, while Michael Graham was conspicuously absent including the previous owners. To add insult to injury, one of their representatives had the audacity to lecture us on patience instead of taking responsibility for the chaos.
Michael Graham's contribution to the process of handing over the keys was non-existent. We had to wait four excruciating days for the previous owners to move their belongings, causing significant inconvenience and stress. Our movers couldn’t put our stuff as per allocated rooms due to ex-owner belonging. Throughout this ordeal, Michael Graham remained offline and uncontactable, from the day before completion to weeks afterwards. Not once did we receive an apology for their abysmal service.
In summary, our experience with Michael Graham has been a complete disappointment and a source of immense frustration. Their unprofessionalism and lack of accountability have left us deeply dissatisfied. We would strongly advise against using Michael Graham for buying or selling your property. It is a shame and a disappointment to have encountered such poor service.
We will never recommend Michael Graham and would suggest looking elsewhere for reliable and professional estate agents. Do consider Chewton Rose – Central Milton Keynes, found them very professional and proactive.

Well that was a first time experience. Michael Graham made me an appointment to view a property and they didn’t show and no one was at the property either. Try calling and after 20 mins got through to a call centre who said that they will get the customer service team to call me back. Wasted 50 miles of my time driving there and back. I had a worst experience with this agency. We moved into a house which was not at all cleaned. They did the inventory with all the dirty marks everywhere and still didn't bother to clean the house. Also usually we get the inventory checkin report before moving into the property. They sent us the inventory report after 5 days from the move in date. The house was so dirty and it took almost 4 hours of continuous effort for me to clean just the kitchen. I have never seen any agency like this who intentionally troubles their tenants to save some money. I would not recommend this to anyone. Please don’t buy or rent from this agency if you want a smooth and peaceful experience.

They were very professional and highly experienced in the property market but also had a very down to earth approach. As the sale took place during lockdown they were very understanding and carried out the service strictly within the covid rules.

When selling your house you really want two things from your estate agents, good communication and the ability sell your home for the best price. Michael Graham gave us both of these when they appointed Michael Conlon to look after the sale. He was professional, always on the end of the phone to give updates when we needed and when we had an initial offer he (unknown to us at the time) negotiated the price up to get us the best possible value for our house. I called to enquire about a 3 bedrooms property to rent from this agency and the only requirement was no children and no pet. Despite meeting these requirements and answering some questions, I was then told the landlord only want one single person to rent all of the 3 bedrooms or a couple and for this I was denied a viewing. This was not mentioned on their website. This was just pure discrimination because it does not make sense for one person to rent a 3 bedrooms house.

Not only was my wife dissatisfied by your service but also insulted twice by your sales man . She made an email enquiry regarding a £500k house and was told unless we had sold ours the vendors would not accept a viewing ! My wife reply was we have sold ours ..there was no attempt to call us or enquiry from your side until a week later in which she explained and not for the first time as she spoke to a Stephanie via email with interest into a property in emerson Valley offering the asking price which she repeated on Wednesday 23rd Sept 2020 at 7.30pm at night ! She offered £450k and he told her she needed to wait until her viewing appointment on Sunday 27th sept 2020 . She was then called today on 26th sept and told that it was cancelled due to the original buyers being accepted on an offer after all !!. She was told no offers until Sunday and it would be put into a bidding war and to offer the most I can afford as it will sell for over the asking price as lots of interest ... how is that right .I Shall be reporting to the FCA as this is totally wrong .

MG were excellent throughout our purchase process. They provided knowledgeable and timely advice on everything we needed to know, which as a first time buyer was quite a lot! Our agent, Michael, kept in touch with us throughout and guided us smoothly through the sale with a smile all the time.
We were lucky with the time of year and a good solicitor too, but it only takes one link to break and the chain collapses, and at no stage was I ever concerned about anything with MG.
Don't plan on moving again for about thirty years, but if I do it'll be with them :)

Alex Naylor helped us sell our property within a couple of weeks with 3 different parties making offers that suited our asking price. There were back to back viewings on certain days. Alex was polite, professional and extremely patient. He always took my (often lengthy) calls, even beyond social hours and on Sundays. His phone never went on voicemail. All my text messages were responded to promptly often followed by a call or a quick visit if needed.
Our house was attractive but it was facing a lot of competition from cheaper yet better properties locally. Also, to make things worse, there had been a distress sale by a neighbour with a house identical to ours for almost a £100k less. This had skewed the market and we called 17 EAs to guesstimate the price of our property. We picked Alex because he did not boast, or behave over-enthusiastically. He stayed reasonable and was very confident of defying the skewed market to get us a price that the house actually deserved.
It was a large house with a cramped kitchen. Alex and the rest of his able colleagues supervised the viewings. listing every selling point of our property to the potential buyers. Showing them how such a kitchen can be extended to make the property something to die for. They were punctual and gave us clear feedback with good advice to both, us and the parties interested in the property. Alex kept us posted about the chain and eventually helped us secure a brilliant deal with a keen buyer who was renting. Simply put, smiles and peace of mind throughout.
But, that is not why I am writing this review. Alex proved to be a pleasant source of empathy, excellent advice and professional support during a very taxing time with our purchase. He walked us through buying our dream home by being available for immediate advice, in person and over the phone. Alex guided us during an arduous bidding war. We bagged our purchase a couple of days after accepting the final offer on our sale. If it were not for Alex, we would've either lost that purchase to another party, or paid beyond our means. His step by step advice on this matter was well within his professional ethics, yet beyond what he was obliged to do for us as his vendors. These were tough times and we were on a rollercoaster. Alex was always around for clearing doubts and removing fears. This will remain with us.
Oliver (sorry I cannot remember the second name) took amazing pictures of our house making it look like something out of a decor magazine. He clearly enjoys what he does and is very passionate about bringing out the best in every click. He doesn’t give up till he gets that perfect snap. This is quite evident in the Michael Graham brochures. Thanks Olly.
