**Avoid At all cost** Was lied to throughout with Alesco. In 2020 I bought an off-plan development at Regent plaza. I invested £70,000 as a deposit into a flat and was advised this is ahead of schedule by the sales advisor and should be done before the estimated completion date. Block B which was meant to be completed in Nov 2020 still has not been completed (Mid Feb 2023). Despite I having a conversation with Alesco in Feb 2022, where they advised block B would be finished and occupied by March 22. I purchased Block D and this is in the same position as it was in 2019 (nothing has been done). At the time I address my issues but was re-assured that this property will be ready but it now on time. Block B looks completely different to the plans. I addressed this Alesco and the manager James Needham said they never look like the photos. Why is this not made clear when marketing? The outside of B looks cheap and is likely a cheaper alternative, but Alesco come up with excuses such as covid, Brexit, council everything but themselves. (Things they knew about before starting the development). I rarely get any communication from them because there is usually nothing to report as no progress is ever made. When I address my concerns James the manager pretty much laughed at me down the phone. The only solution he wanted to come up with is wait for it to be completed. I have also asked for an explanation to why they miss sell properties. One example that I addressed is that it was heavily advertised and documented it was a 15% reduction of the current market price. This was not the case this was only 12%. I know this sounds only small but still makes a difference of around 8k. Again, I was laughed at and James seemed duelled and just had the impression that I should have no right to be dissatisfied. I mentioned I wanted to take this to the property ombudsman, but I think there is a clear knowledge gap at Alesco end with handling issues with clients. For those that purchased Block B should be taking legal action against Alesco and Sourced Development as their delays would have cost investors tens of thousands. I would not use Alesco for any property developments, they are overpriced, lie about completion dates and rude staff (after you purchase).... Read more

Just over a week ago I spoke to David Jacobs who gave me very sound advice on purchasing a buy to let property. My husband’s family come from the Liverpool area,so buying an apartment in Central East Liverpool seemed ideal.We have visited the city and very much enjoyed the experience.
