We recently purchased a property through Independent London and are ecstatic to have now moved in.
Although there were some delays due to complications with the seller, Steve was always on hand to pick up my phone calls and kept pushing the deal forward up towards completion.
Would wholeheartedly recommend them.

We sold our flat in SE16 recently with Steve and the team at Independent London.
We were thoroughly impressed with the professionalism, transparency and prompt communication throughout the process. At times the transaction got a little tricky due to challenges on the buyer's side but Steve and his colleagues were able to safely steer the ship through the turbulence and the result was the sale concluded as we'd hoped.
We'd not hesitate to recommend Independent London Ltd.

My son has lived 4 happy years in this place and myself one year.
The agency have been very responsive to our needs regarding any issues with the place.
Beverly has been very friendly and interpersonal when dealing with communications.
We didn't want leave but had to relocate to be closer to work.
We would definitely rent from Independent again if our job allows us to live in East London again. We also highly recommend them too.

My flat has been rented out through Independent London for the last two years. Prior to that, I used an estate agent with a chain of offices throughout SE London. The contrast between the two is incredible!
Independent London are extremely professional, really helpful and super efficient. I have had so much more peace of mind regarding my flat since I started using them and really appreciate that they are on top of everything, from tenancy renewal to certificates needed, also able to recommend good workmen and also finding good tenants with minimum hassle.
Steve and David are great to deal with, easy to get hold of, clearly very knowledgeable and always very helpful.
As estate agents go, they are the best that I have dealt with!

The worst Estate Agent I have ever experienced. They waited me for more than 2 weeks. They didn't even reply to my emails. After all this time, They said; we can't rent the flat to you. !!!
If I had a problem, you should have told me sooner so that I wouldn't lose other flats.
I was told in the emails that my condition was not a problem, but two weeks later their words changed.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE PEOPLE.

My family have rented out property through this excellent company,and I act as ’manager’,etc for my landlord children.
Having in the past tried out several other London agencies,all of whom failed dismally,it was a great relief to find a competent agency,and so they have been with IndependentLondon for several years now.IndependentLondon are also cost-effective.
IndependentLondon also sold a flat for my children within a week ,in central London,at the asking price,which had been independently valued

My property has been continuously rented out for the last 5 years and it has been very smooth. David and team handle problems that inevitably arise with hardly any involvement on my part, including: complaints from neighbors, repairs that need to be done and transition of tenants throughout the period. They have good relationship with contractors and negotiate reasonable prices. They are diligent with finding tenants who will be responsible and rent has always been paid on time without any gaps in tenancy. They are helpful, provide insights into the rental market when discussing rental prices and are polite. I would highly recommend.

Independent London are an exploitative company who should be avoided at all costs. During a year long tenancy we contacted them multiple times to arrange maintenance work, our emails were continuously ignored and we were left with mouldy bathrooms, leaking ceilings, broken windows... the list could go on forever. The property was filthy when we moved, NOTHING was done to rectify this and they even had the cheek to slam us with a £300 cleaning fee at the end of our tenancy. A service which was never even carried out, we know this as we were able to verify it with the new tenants.Who in turn, went on record with the deposit dispute agency, confirming that the property most definitely had not been cleaned when they took over responsibility of the house. We were then awarded almost all of our money back. The point is that there are many people who have never disputed such claims – which means they are most likely, making thousands of pounds by exploiting people who are unaware of the malicious, money making tactics used by private landlords and estate agencies. I hope they see this and work towards creating a fairer business model.

I have had a great experience with Independent from Day 1. As I'm sure most Londoners will agree, finding a good, reputable estate agency in London can be like searching for a needle in a very large haystack.
Steve, Davina and the entire team have been amazing and I'm incredibly happy I have them instead of another agency.

Avoid this agent at any cost. I visited an apartment with them. They asked for a deposit even before to make any offer, and before the landlord accept it or not. They don't want then to refund the deposit. The great majority of the RE agents are doing a great job, but definitely, go away from that one.

Avoid at all costs. I used this agency as they offered lower fees, all good finding tenants at the start. However, the tenant passed away sadly five months into the tenancy and they refused to refund me the commission for the remaining of the tenancy. They claimed it was because such instance was not mentioned in the contract! However as industry pratice, well-established agencies should have such clauses in the contract, and should such clauses not included, refund should be made to the landlord based on commonly accepted practice.
