Booked an appointment and confirmed to view a property with one of the staff named Patrick. However, when I arrived at the property, Patrick did not show up. When I called him again, I was told that he could not make it and had to send someone else to cover. The cover person does not know well about the property. The property shown to me also does not match what they listed on the website. This is not professional at all. We saw other agent showing customers the same development. The agent came on time with a lot of detailed information. What a contrast! How I wish I had contact the other agent.

Harrison at LDG has been absolutely terrific in helping us with our recent London moves. He did a brilliant job in our search for new, larger premises in London, managing all the viewings and taking a very proactive role in guiding us through the contracts phase, keeping all parties (agents, solicitors, landlords etc) fully briefed throughout. I warm them of a faulty staircase they waited for my friend to fall with staircase, risking his life to actually repair the staircase... if you are not the like of a life adventure please AVOID ...

Very biased towards the landlord side of things - agency completely vanished once we'd signed the rental agreement, refusing to offer advice or even be responsive to contact. Furthermore, ridiculously uncooperative and unwilling to follow up with the landlord on (legally required) repairs, perhaps out of fear of losing a client. Maybe recommend if you're a landlord, but as a tenant the experience is piss-poor.

I recently dealt with Paul Dryden about a property I wanted to rent. He was really helpful and positive and made the whole experience with Brand Vaughn great. I would definitely recommend Paul if you're looking to rent. I know estate agents get a bad rep but Paul's attention to detail and willingness to meet our needs was second to none. Top work.

Brand Vaughan are neither in the property business nor the people business, they are in the money business. Throughout our tenancy they were reasonable, forgetting to contact maintenance for a week here, and charging us £60 to simply continuing to rent our property there, but when exiting the property we found how unprofessional they are. - We found that they got a cleaner to clean the property without our consultation and billed it to us - the invoice was double that of other cleaners to cover the same items. - They waited until after new tenants had arrived before sending the invoice - so that we couldn't contest anything. - Could not provide a detailed distinction between domestically clean and professionally clean. - Provided a cleaning company that could not be found to be registered with companies house. - Stated a large cost for a cleaning item in the invoice that was listed in the inventory as 'clean' - Stated that the landlord having to pay for any cleaning after a tenancy would be 'unfair' - Stated that upon starting tenancy the property was professionally clean, which is was not, but could not provide any evidence that it was. - When finally negotiating a more fair value after days of correspondence, stated that the reduction is the cleaning company doing the agent a personal favour - this confirmed that the service was suspect. All in all, the practices of the agents with this team may vary, and you may have a smooth tenancy for the most part, but when it comes down to money, they will ruthlessly try and squeeze every penny out of you. You are paying to obfuscate the process of finding somewhere to live rather than to make it easier. You are giving people money for nothing, no skill, no service (that couldn't be automated). And on top of that they speak with you with contempt and derision whilst they take your money.

Although we had to give up our search before finding a house, the team and especially Nicholas were very helpful, calling almost every other day with suggestions or simply to touch base and let us know they're still looking. Even when we placed an offer that was turned down, we received our money back within a week, as promised. Nicholas was very helpful, polite and friendly and did his absolute best to make something work for us. We have had all sorts of experiences with London agents but David Astburys really stood out. Will definitely enlist their help in future searches.
