We worked with Alex Leigh in the Islington office and found him to be helpful and accommodating. Whilst he technically represented the sellers (and we were the buyers) he went above and beyond to move the whole process forward expeditiously.
Just awful experience. I need to find a property within 3 weeks. I met Antoinette. She told me that she can't send me pictures of the properties and I need to see for myself. That I don't know if I would like something unless I see it. Very rude! She told me to go on Zoopla to look at pics. How unprofessional! What are they paying you for?? Then she just left without saying goodbye.
The lovely people at Hamptons Islington have provided me with two sets of hassle-free tenants, both giving an excellent rental return.
Their enthusiasm & knowledge of the local & international market is invaluable in securing the right people into your property, they have contact with relocation agents & overseas clients that guarantee above expectation results.
When the time came to sell my property, Hamptons sales did an excellent job in realising a superb price for my flat.
I would not hesitate to recommend Hamptons Islington as agents for your property.
We first tried to let our house in De Beauvoir Town with another agent and failed miserably. Hamptons were our second choice but the contrast couldn't have been greater.
Everything they have done has been outstandingly professional. For instance, they always respond within hours to any concerns we might have.
Most important of all, within weeks they found us the ideal tenant.
I can wholeheartedly recommend them to other landlords looking for an agent.
Samantha Clegg helped us buy our first property and was incredibly helpful and professional throughout the process. She made us aware of a property which met all of our criteria and which we wouldn't have otherwise found, and was always quick to respond to any questions we had throughout the process. Couldn't have asked for a better person to support us!
Honestly - words cannot describe the experiences I've had with KFH Islington. For six years I've lived in London and I've always thought "Yeah estate agents aren't great but I don't understand why they've got such a bad reputation" - after encountering KFH Islington, I can see why.
Before we moved in we agreed a number of conditions about what KFH would remove from the property and what they would do (basic things, like installing a curtain rail where there wasn't one) - did they do any of it? Of course not. Did we remind them? Countless times. They either outright refused or repeatedly promised to do it (never delivering).
This incompetence continued throughout our tenancy with poor response times, dreadful support and sometimes just not replying at all (as was the case when our front door wouldn't work).
When we moved out they charged us for a number of things not mentioned on the check in report and to replace furniture which had simply moved to the next room. They've also charged us for things that the independent check out folks didn't mention on the check out report - why they think we paid all those fees to hire someone independent I do not know.
Steer. Well. Clear.
Chesterton Humberts in Islington are great. Finding a flat was quick and painless. I am still in the flat Chesterton Humberts estate agents found for me, however, I am looking into another property because I considering moving to a bigger flat. If I do, I will most certainly use Chesterton Humberts!
I had a great experience with Victorstone in Shoreditch. My flat was empty with another agent for weeks. I then instructed Victorstone and they rented my flat to 4 professionals within a couple of days. Really impressed with their conduct.
Avoid at all costs. We have had major problems with house which were repeatedly ignored by Victorstone. Rude, unhelpful staff who continually fobbed us off with promises to 'phone back later' and ignored our emails. Deposit is yet to be returned despite legal requirements for this to be repaid within 10 days. I would bet money that these good reviews are fakes: these estate agents more like con artists.
