Appalling estate agent. I trusted them with a key and I came back two weeks later to discover my back french doors had been left wide open to the elements all that time after the one viewing they got me (which I never did get feedback about). This was the last straw after other bumbling by them I had kept quiet and polite about - really basic stuff others would not have tolerated but I stupidly gave them a chance - to my cost I now know. (The very fact they only got me one viewing in a popular area in a few weeks shows what a rubbish agent they are)

When I called to complain about the doors being left wide open, they promised a manager would call me the next working day which he did not which is rude plus shows how seriously they did NOT take this action. When I phoned to follow this up later on that same working day he should have called me early, I was put straight through to him so he can't honestly claim he was too busy to call me before. This should have been a priority of his. If not first thing, very soon after.... Worse, even though I was polite I got an appalling attitude from him. No apology, just attitude. I also got a load of BS about how they shut the doors and they must have opened all by themselves (wind etc)! And then I was blamed for leaving my own doors wide open (I didn't), so he can't even keep his firm's excuses straight. The viewing was AFTER I left to go away btw so even if I had left them wide open (I didn't) that still doesn't explain why they had too. Of course it's all BS to cover themselves and try to avoid paying up for the damage to my property caused by all the elements getting in. Also for the record, these doors do not open by themselves or blow open because of the way they close into each other even if and when they are left unlocked so it shows how dozy and incompetent their staff are to leave them so wide open.

I got rudeness and a childish fit of pique from the manager when I told them they were sacked for this negligence: 'oh that's fine, we don't want to work with you anyway.' How childish is that when I have done nothing wrong. Schoolyard stuff belonging to bullies because I dare to politely complain about something really serious here. He also put the phone down on me while I was politely asking about their returning my key so I have no idea about that. This is really, really bad service.

Their for sale board was also a complete joke. It had to be seen to be believed. The worse I have ever seen. It could not be seen or read and the way it was hanging actually devalued the property. Others commented about how bad it was. They could not even get that basic thing right. But I was prepared to overlook that but really it is a very basic thing.

Add in really poor photos, lazy listing on the web with no proper description, no room dimensions, wrong area of town put in, no floor plan, lack of viewings and feedback and the doors thing was the final straw.

Do not use them under any circumstance. Incompetence is bad enough but lying about it after is a whole another thing. I would not trust them to sell a car let alone a house.

The staff was friendly enough but we didn’t get any communication from them after viewings. We only got 3 viewings which I think was poor. The photos of our property I didn’t think was the best and not many of them, No floor plan either. Which this day and age people likes that, plus No room sizes on write up.
