Shannon Attwood once let herself in our house with no warning early hours of the morning when every one was asleep or out at uni and took photos of things like a multipack of chips on the top of the cupboards and berated us for it. Also after I moved out and collected my post from the estate agents in Kingswood I noticed my post had been opened and Shannon's reasoning was 'to make sure it was the post I was looking for' that's ILLEGAL by the way. Terrible letting agents and take advantage of younger students who don't know their rights. This was a couple of years ago but just had a discussion with another friend who had a terrible experience with Shannon Attwood and wanted to share my experience here.... Read more

I honestly wish I could give less than 1 star.. Day 1 - They threatened to evict us because we moved in and it was dirty. There was dirty plates and cutlery in the dishwasher, nappy rash cream on the floor and signs, disposable barbecues and broken chairs in the garden (as well as full bin bags and general rubbish). I asked them politely if they were planning on having a clean done before we moved in fully and they said if we don't like it then leave and we'll get someone else in. I don't mind cleaning myself but I couldn't believe how rude they were about it.. The electrics were tripping because the walls were damp. All the lights downstairs stopped working presumably because of this. The floor started to rise and bulge on the ground floor. We spoke to 3 different people at Attwoods who all said they'd get in touch. They all ignored us. When they came round for viewings they told us it was always someone else's responsibility. - They never fixed anything including the heating.. They locked us out once by bolting the door and took 2 HOURS to come back and let us in. Someone came round a day before we moved out and gave us a list of what needed cleaning etc for us to get our full deposit back. They said to me - "don't worry about cleaning the garden it was like that when you arrived". They deducted over £100 once we'd left for the garden.. This sums up the level of communication. I work for a managing agents now and I can honestly say that this was a horrendous experience and extremely unprofessional. Threats to kick you out for no reason is incredibly distressing when you move to a new city and want to settle in. Attwoods - Sort it out And just to prove the point, their reply proves it. Shannon once let herself into our property when we were all sleeping with no prior warning and then proceeded to take photos AND after we had moved out I went to collect a letter from the estate agents and the letter had been open which is actually illegal. It’s a shame the rest are okay but Shannon really let’s the team down.... Read more

Massive thank you to the Attwoods team for helping us sell our first home!! The team were so efficient and honest with us. Shannon rushed to get our house on the market within a day in order to view a property that had come up for sell. An honest approach on house value helped with a quick sale and despite lots of viewings booked we didn’t feel disrupted and the process was so smooth! Kevin stuck with us through our indecisive house hunting and when we lost our first buyers, he had managed to get new ones within one week. I would highly recommend Attwoods to friends and family and of course use them again myself.... Read more

I’ve had fantastic service from this letting agency since the very beginning of the purchasing process. We were warmly welcomed by the informative estate agent during our viewing and Attwoods kept us informed every step of the way. We collected our keys today and the lady (sorry I forgot your name!) was very kind and told us some interesting facts about the local area. They even gave us a card to congratulate us on our house purchase. Previously, we viewed many properties with many different estate agents and there are some really sneaky and immoral agents in Bristol. We experienced everything from being pushed into using the estate agent’s broker to dishonest agents. One agent from a very well known agency told us that we wouldn’t get the house unless we used their broker. Another told us to pay a deposit on the day to secure the property (verbal agreement) and refused written communication. Atwoods we’re extremely honest and helpful from the start. I won’t use another agency in the future.... Read more

Oh my goodness where do I begin? No one should go to this estate agents they made my life HELL!! Kicked me and my daughter out of the flat we rented back in 2013-15. Made me homeless. Kept getting Investor to view the property from day one, told me I had plenty of notice Couldn't be bothered to rehome us. We would have been out on the streets if it wasn't for a friend who offered a roof over our heads.... I was so glad to see the back to that place.... Read more

I have used Attwoods in both an Estate Agent and Letting Agent capacity for a number of years now and would recommend them wholeheartedly for efficiency and market knowledge in the first instance but professionalism and courtesy follow very closely behind those attributes. The whole team are a delight to deal with and have served me very well. I have used other agents in the area and been left disappointed. The only reason I am unlikely to use Attwoods again is because I am moving 80 miles out of area, which in this regard is a great shame. Its sometimes just the little things like answering the phone or extra attention beyond office hours that make a huge difference in business and Attwoods, as a team, answer those needs every time.
