I write this review from the perspective as both a tennant and new homeowner.
I first used Bridgfords 5 years ago who found me the perfect apartment suited to my needs and within my budget. They perfectly negotiated the contract on my behalf with the landlord and I spent 5 happy years there as a tenant. Any minor issues I faced over the term they sorted out promptly and efficiently and all the staff I have had dealings with I found to be helpful, friendly and professional.
I now own the property and Bridgfords were tremendously supportive and helpful throughout the 1st time buying process.
I would definitely recommend them to tenants and buyers alike and look forward to doing business with them again in the future.

Truly horrendous customer service, had to spend weeks going back and forth to return out deposit and in the end they just dumped it into our account without even letting any of us know. I'm under the impression they never protected it in the first place (which is illegal) but didn't pursue this further as our actual landlord was more helpful than they were.
They didn't make any effort to maintain the property during the time they managed it, we reported atleast a dozen issues and not once did they send anyone out to fix them. They promised the mould in our flat would be cleared before we moved in and just before we left the property we ended up clearing it off ourselves.
To top this all off the fees are extortionate, I would expect to pay as much as we did for a property that was heavily managed but these people can't even reply to a simple email. I'm currently renting a different property within the same area and didn't have to pay anywhere near as much in fee's, so shop around thoroughly before you commit to wasting your time and money on this company.
Gillian valued my property some time ago and fortunately remembered my property details. recently there was interest in a nearby property and Gillian called me to invite me to put my flat on the market.
Within a couple of days I had a very successful sale and i am delighted

Dealt with Your Move on two separate occasions. On both occasions they were evasive and deceitful. Best avoided.
Could not recommend the fantastic people at Sarah Mains more!! I have sold 2 properties with them in the last 3 years and each have sold within the first 2 weeks. My current home has just been sold for which they produced first class photos and a video tour for the brochure. They have been very professional and client focused and determined to get me the best sale they could for my property.
They have all worked hard to negotiate the best sale they could for me, in particular Helen Knight, who has given me sound advice and guidance when faced with the dilemma of multiple offers.

We recently took the momentus decision to sell our home and choose Sarah Mains as our agent. In these initial stages our primary contact has been with Amie Lynch. Amie has held our hand through the process from discussing our options and agreeing terms to arranging for the video to be produced, taking all internal and external stills herself, and drafting the descriptions. The video is excellent and the photographs are worthy of a professional, as is the full listing. Amie's approach to this entire transaction has been extremely professional, helpful and understanding.
COULDN’T BE HAPPIER!! The staff were great...I dealt with Claire and Michael predominately from sales who couldn’t do enough. In a winter period when it’s harder to sell properties the agents realistically priced my flat and sold it at a price I was happy with. Always approachable and well informed with property in the area they made the sale experience easier with their help. The sale fee was fair too so it’s well worth using the agent. Don’t look elsewhere they done a great job and I wouldn’t hesitate to use again in the future..Thanks Very Much to the whole Team!! Tony
Incompetent, slow, unreliable.
Been Tenants with Bowes Mitchell for nearly 3 years, we are luckily moving out but thats also presented its own problems.
From when we moved in they have always been slow in contacting our landlord, to the point where we were without a working shower for 4 months and when we chose to contact our landlord directly he told us that he wasn't aware of the issue and he got it fixed within 48 hours.
We have issues with the front door, they refuse to acknowledge or provide us with updated details for our landlord.
They seem more concerned with carrying out 6 month checks and worrying about whether the front garden grass is trimmed or not! Bearing in mind that the front garden is more weeds than grass, horribly uneven and they refuse to accept that and blame us for not keeping on top of the garden!
Then we come to the most recent issue, they don't seem to want to do viewings for during their office hours and would much prefer making us as tenants carry out the viewings. Which would be fine if they informed us of any changes in veiwing appointments! But suprise suprise they don't tell us and then blame us for not receiving a voicemail! I gave them my email address instead, was promised I would get an email about viewing appointments, and yet again they haven't bothered emailing.
Be glad to be rid of them!
Found tenant quickly for my property. The team were really helpful from start to finish. They are also on hand help with any ongoing issues. Would highly recommend to landlord or tennant
Poor customer service, probably the worst letting agency in England. Poor management and service from staff, trying to charge tenants for anything you can imagine. The agent we were dealing with was very rude and sarcastic when required to resolve issues we had with leaks. This took on 4 months until fixed, and we had had the council involved. Apart from the admin fees, they also charge for check out fee, they charge £20 to provide meter readings, and make ridiculous deductions from our deposit with no grounds and silly excuses. AVOID THEM!
