We chose Brunton Residential to sell our home after having a disastrous experience with another agent. Brunton were exceptional from day one and a breath of fresh air. The staff are just brilliant and the communication is amazing all throughout the journey. Special mention must go to Jess, who quite simply is bloody fantastic! After our exchange of contracts was delayed, and completion failed on move day, we ended up in a hotel for 5 days. A little disappointed in the End! Having sold our property in Gosforth with Brunton Residential, And having a smooth exchange, we needed to rent for a period of 18 months while our new property came onto the market, so we thought with this in mind we would use there services again, nothing wrong with the property rented, or the overall service, we are just not happy with the non return of some of our deposit, we moved into the property on the 18th August 2022 and moved out on the 01st March 2024, they kept £250.00 for the garden not being in the same good condition as when we moved in the summer of 2022, we had a gardener cutting the lawns every two weeks in season, however had stopped and wasn't starting again until the start of the spring, we were also charged for not removing a wooden child's play house, which was was left by the current owners, which we thought was a little unfair as it was not ours to remove.

I recently had an experience with this agency while in the process of purchasing a property that I feel compelled to share. Our journey to buying a home was unexpectedly disrupted on the very day of
the scheduled exchange of contracts. Despite prior agreements, the top of the chain, who was not directly the agent's client, made a last-minute decision to change the exchange date. After some back and forth, they reverted to the originally agreed date, only to decide on the day of the exchange that they would not proceed, leading to the collapse of our sale.
While I understand that the unpredictability of property chains can sometimes lead to such outcomes, and this situation may not directly be the fault of the agency, I was disappointed with the level of support and communication provided during these critical moments. The agency's approach felt dismissive at times, clearly prioritising the interests of their client, my seller, over mine. This experience has left me feeling uncertain about entrusting this agency with the responsibility of handling future property purchases. I also feel that the agency should have known and warned our seller regarding the top of the chain as this person has quite a reputation in the area.
To prospective buyers, while each experience is unique, I recommend ensuring clear and open communication with your estate agent and being prepared for the complexities of property transactions.

Arranged a viewing and had come from out of town late last night to see it. Was given a reminder this morning at 9 for viewing at 11. We waited at the property in the cold with another family who had arranged a viewing (they had a baby in a pram). Waited 20 minutes before I decided to call the office. Chloe who we had the viewing with answered and let us know the flat had been let. So she had been sat there in the office in the warmth knowing the flat wasn't available whilst we waited for her to arrive. It's either laziness or just a complete disregard for potential custom. Atrocious service.

I wanted to take a moment to provide some feedback regarding my recent experience renting a property managed by your firm. While I appreciate the opportunity to have had a place to reside, I
must express that my time at the property was challenging, to say the least. Throughout my tenancy, there were persistent issues, notably the recurring sewage smell and several other concerns that persisted until the day I vacated the premises.
As someone who, like many others, turned to renting out of necessity and urgency in finding a suitable place to live, it was disheartening to encounter such issues. I believe there's an expectation of accountability, especially with longer lock-in periods such (a full year in this case), that property management firms ensure properties are well-managed and in optimal condition before being rented out to tenants.
The experience, unfortunately, led to a high level of inconvenience that I hadn't anticipated. Additionally, the retention of the deposit under the guise of a cleaning fee felt unfair, considering the issues that persisted throughout my stay and were not adequately addressed. Moving forward, I sincerely hope that there can be improvements in the pre-rental inspection and maintenance processes to ensure that future tenants do not encounter similar challenges. Transparent communication and swift action to resolve issues would greatly enhance the renting experience and foster trust between tenants and management.

Right from the first visit Chris made to the home that I was selling, I felt that he was always considerate of me as his client. Even when I was in the process of buying another property, he contacted me to advise of a house he had viewed to place on the market, which he felt was perfect for me, and into which I moved yesterday.
The way the team is structured, it is wholly client-focussed and clear, so that I knew who I should be speaking to each step of the way. I found the WhatsApp group also really helpful in enabling me to keep in touch easily and always be updated as to what was happening.
I have not come across an estate agent who cared as much as Chris and his team have done about their client and who was so proactive. In the past, I've always had to do all of the chasing up. The Brunton Residential team at Great Park are all courteous, efficient and very effective team members with whom it has been a pleasure to work.

We recently sold our house and moved to a new property, both transactions being through Brunton Residential. We were very impressed with the service provided by BR. The process started with a representative visiting our home exactly as arranged and two days later our house was on the market. Further communication was via WhatsApp which worked very well. Our property was sale agreed very quickly and we transitioned to Sales Progression for the remainder of the journey.
We were very well looked after in this latter process by Jess Maine.
Unfortunately our buyers withdrew and we thought we might lose the property we were hoping to move to. Jess, however, remained very positive and reassuring through some difficult times and saw us through to a successful completion.

I think my experience started a bit shakey and i wasn’t massively impressed during the selling stage. It took over 3 months to sell which was a lot longer than i expected, and felt more could have been done to push. Viewings dried up and i barely got a single one sometimes for up to 3 weeks at a time, without any contact or update. I debated many times on changing estate agents altogether. But we managed to secure the sale. The process thereafter was amazing and i couldn’t fault it at all. Throughout the sales progression, Jess was fantastic. We nearly lost the sale a few times, and one time especially Jess massively saved the day and i definitely believe the sale would have 100% fallen through if it wasn’t for her efforts. The most helpful Lettings Agents I've ever dealt with, no issue has been too big and any issue I have raised has been dealt with and sorted within days. If I needed an electrician, within a day one was contacting me to come and fix the issue. There are no awkward forms or bureaucracy, just one person to email who is very responsive and helpful. This is the first lettings agency I've come across where I haven't had problems with communication or getting problems sorted to a high standard by professionals. If I could give 6 stars I would, everyone was so helpful and the sales pack presented our house superbly. We sold our house in 48 hours and got significantly above the asking price due to the amount of interest generated. We were continually updated and everything was carried out with professionalism, we couldn't ask for more. Special mention to Sharon who was fantastic.

Abysmal agency, do not use. Upon 5 minutes of a property being listed I rang to arrange a flat viewing and was informed the the first viewing would be held a few days later and they had to prepare the property, no viewings would take place during this period and that the property could not be let without a viewing. We were dismayed to find out that before our viewing, the property had been let.
When I rang to enquire, the member of staff on the phone refused to apologise and complained about how busy he was. Pathetic excuse for customer service and need to review their business practices. Strongly recommend another service instead.

Lack of communicational skill between staff. Poor organisational skills. Because of the inadequate services and the inability to send emails we lost out. But all they could do was apologise.

The law was broken and contract breached and burntons response was and I quote: "I have read your complaint and concern and I empathise with your situation as this is is not something we like to hear of, however it is difficult to comment on your landlords intervention nearing the end of your tenancy as were not in the moment and considerable time has lapsed. What I can say is that this is the first time I have ever received a complaint regarding Mr Ternent in the 16 years I have known him.
Granted it has been some time, but I was genuinely left scared for my saftey and have only months on recovered enough to say anything.
A past tenant coming to collet mail even said they left early because of him but never formally compainled. probabbly due to the landlord in question being so threatening
I can assure you that we only deal with suitable, credible landlords and were always here to help and mediate between tenant and landlord at the time situations may arise. "

landlord broke contract, came round when he saw fit. gave keys to painters cleaners etc without let us know they would come round.
had a cleaner enter my room whilst I was undressed (they had been given master key) after this they through out most of the oven trays and my walking stick was taken and never recoved.
landlord said he didnt care that my grammas oven tarys where thrown out even if she has passed away resently.
didnt feel safe in the house. landlord came round to shout at me before asking him where my property had gone and said I was ungratful.
EDIT: Burton was contacted 1 week before the end of tenacy, however when I imformed the person over the phone of the issues with the landlord coming on the property, I was told there wasnt a manager in the office and I would have to call back. no message was taken or manager conatced. I only spoke to the agency again after such a time due to being left in it so to speak and the reason I mentioned it was so that it wouldn't happen to anyone else. However, instead of saying something along the lines of we will look into it or have a talk to the land lord, I was basicly told, well hes a mate he wouldn't be like that go away. I do not seak compensation. I mearly wish for the landlord in question to be told that it is unacceptable behaviour and for the LAW to be taught to a man who thinks he can do what he wants. Landlords and tenants should both be treated respectfully by Brunton.

Brunton Residential recently negotiated a property sale for us. They were very professional in all aspects of their involvement - from finding the buyer, negotiating the price, keeping us updated, going back and forth between us and the buyer and making useful suggestions. They answered all queries promptly. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to buy/sell or let a property.

Simon has always looked after our properties, managing, marketing (takes amazing photos) and sourcing tenants, he is very good at finding good tenants, looking after our property and informing us of potential issues ahead of a problem occuring once the tenant is moved in. Could not recommend Simon enough.

Brunton Residential sold our house in 13 days. They took exceptional photos and marketed the property efficiently and accurately. We were inundated with viewings from very suitable (proceedable) buyers and when we couldn't show people around they were able to do viewings for us. Absolute joke. I put an application in for a property last week and because of their complete incompetence and inefficiency it has been let by another agent. I phoned a day before to check up on it and no one had the decency to call me and let me know that the property was off the market. Such poor customer experience. I wouldn't recommend at all.
