I have been dealing with Bell Estates & Letting Agency for the past 3 weeks regarding a shop that was for let. Unfortunately the Estate Agents did not have access to the key for two weeks due to circumstances out of their control. We were told that we were the first people interested and they would update us as soon as they could. We were informed last week that they now have access so we arranged to view the property today. My business partner then rang to express our interest following the viewing and wanted more information. She was advised very bluntly by a woman (apparently the manager) who we haven't dealt with before that there are two other people interested in the place. I rang them to confirm this as we weren't updated with this information. The woman I spoke to was extremely rude and had an attitude with every answer including "well I'm not really sure what you want from me", "well obviously" this and "well obviously" that, whilst being very sarcastic. I politely asked if she was being abrupt and unkind over the phone because the two new people were going straight through the landlord, but she gave even more attitude back. I told her that I thought she was being quite mean and rude over the phone, and wasn't being helpful at all. I understand some things are out of their control and it's not their fault that two people have gone through the landlord, but there was no need for sarcasm or pure rudeness. We just wanted to be updated which we weren't. The customer service was just awful.... Read more
