I have used this company for about seven years. They have provided me with two very good tenants . One for eighteen months the other for nearly six years. All staff over the years have been very helpful and Harriet over the last three or so years has been excellent. If I rent my flat again I will use John D Wood.
An absolute dissapoontment! Very good at locking ur money away but not providing ant security at all. They’ve reassure us all will be ready after triple checking and explaining that we have to leave in hollidays, made us pack the house, 1 hour left to sign the contract and get hold of the keys they say landlord decided otherwise. A day before that landlord was all “happy and ready” as per Joe’s speech. All references checked all was fine, no protection at all for tenants , puttinf people at risk of dropping other houses and ending up on streets!
Great staff, very professional. Everyone I dealt with was helpful and informative. When I thought there was a problem, found out that it was solved straight away. I would strongly recommend them to anyone.
Without doubt the worst experience I have ever had with an estate agent. I was subjected to rude, controlling and wholly unprofessional behaviour. Most importantly be very careful when signing one of their estate agency agreements as they don’t allow for a 14 day cancellation period which is in breach of consumer law in this country. Also although they are a member of the Property Ombudsman Scheme they flagrantly break the code of practice that they are supposed to adhere too. My advice is steer well clear of this agency.
Nice place to purchase a property from they look after you to the end. We will be recommending Reed if anyone is looking to buy or rent.
One star is being generous.
I have been renting for awhile now and Reed are by far the worst company I have come across. They are slack on maintainace. I have had the same issue since September and have been told each time someone will look into it
and each time nothing comes of it and they will expect the problem to just disappear. It has taken a lot of chasing up to get them to take a serious interest and even now I do not trust they will bother sorting things. As long as they get their money they do not care about you. There is a huge problem with lack of communication and members of staff I have spoken to in the office seem very inexperienced/unknowedgable.
To add to this is signed to live in my place another year due to convenience. However reed then still put my property up for rent and arranged viewings (also giving less than 24hr notice) despite the fact I had signed a legal contract to stay another year already.
I am sorry I ever went near this company and will make sure I avoid them at all costs and advise you do too.
I have set up a google email just so I could warn all future clients off them... that shows the scale of how awful they are.
Great service, Charley was extremely helpful and friendly. Couldn't ask for better service, all very professional and upbeat!
If you're ever in the position where your agent attempts to sell your house to an un-mortgageable buyer and no one notices until after you have exchanged contracts (on both sides of your chain), you're then involved in months worth of legal issues, King Group WILL try to charge you their commission.. Change your contract wording to state commission becomes payable upon completion, not on exchange of contracts. Even though my contract was amended to state 'no sale, no fee' they are still perusing their fee. I have now had to instruct a solicitor to try and uphold our contract. Formal complaints have been submitted, complaints will also be submitted to The Property Ombudsman and the National Association of Estate Agents.
