On a positive note they will undoubtedly sell your house, which is their sole purpose after all, however in my opinion the experience was like selling a used car on eBay - the sale price doesn't matter as long as it sells (so they get paid their all important commission). Also, their aftersales and their partner solicitor firm were decidedly pedestrian. I wouldn't recommend them or be in a hurry to use them again, absolutely bang average...

5 stars just doesn’t seem a high enough rating to award for the experience Howard’s in Beccles have given us. Our agent Cara Childerhouse was amazing, she went above and beyond to find our perfect home for us. I sent her an email rather than call one evening so as not to disturb her after hours, within a few minutes Cara had replied. First thing the next morning we were viewing 2 properties. Cara had a mega busy day planned but somehow managed to arrange these at such short notice. A few days later Cara found us a beautiful property to view, she really took the time to listen to all of our needs as a family which this house proved. She has worked her magic in every way and nothing seemed too much trouble for her. I really don’t think this lovely lady sleeps!!

We chose Howard's to sell our property after meeting Cara Childerhouse from the Beccles Branch. Cara's enthusiasm and positivity filled us with confidence that she would work hard to market our home. I am absolutely disgusted, I phoned to arrange a viewing on a house, they asked if I had a mortgage sorted and what deposit I would be putting down on the house. I told her who my mortgage was with and how much deposit I was putting down. I was then told that the vender had stipulated that I would have to speak to Howard’s mortgage advisor before I could view the property. I felt I was being blackmailed into using their services, despite already having a large deposit and mortgage sorted. A potential sale lost there because of their greed.

Cara’s enthusiasm and friendly manner meant that I could confidently leave her to conduct a viewing day, which resulted in several offers and a sale in around two weeks. Contacted the office to obtain more details about a property. Spoke to someone, who came across very disinterested and other than giving me the house number did not give any further information, even when prompted. They could not even be bothered to take my details, incase they might have something else of interest..
After being unable to find the property on google street view, I phoned back and spoke to the "concierge" service as Beccles had not picked up the phone. They were next to useless, not even being able to find the property on their system. I then looked at the Howards website, which contained even less information the Rightmove.
It's service like this that makes one wonder why estate agents exist - in 2022 information is readily available on the internet - one should question as to what companies like this actually add to the process, apart from a hefty commission?

Once the house was listed Cara Amber and Nadia got viewings almost immediately. In fact we had 3 full days of viewings. On the 4th or 5th day it was sold. The only reason that I cannot give five stars is due to the hand over from the team I knew (Cara, Nadia and Amber) once a buyer had been found, to the Move Manager. When you are going through such an important process, continuity in dealing with the people with whom you have a rapport is very important. I never met the Move Manager and the individual never came to see my property, so I felt no connection and frankly, this person did not inspire confidence. If I had met the Move Manager at the outset, I would not have instructed Howards.

Mainly, I dealt with Cara Hawkins who is the branch Manager there and I sold about a week prior to Lockdown last March. Obviously, not a lot happened in that time but Cara kept me informed as to what was happening during that time. I found Cara a very caring person, nothing was too much trouble for her and was always there for me.
