Pre move in:
1) "stop calling so much it'll take me a few days to send an email" all we asked was to explain the maths and when just got sent a number to pay. (Literally no info just "Total = £x")
2) changed the time of key collection and we asked for this in writing that the time has been changed. Their manager's response was " why do you need it in writing". Never had an estate agent refuse to give a change in writing and said it would take a few days to send ( they changed the time 20 hours before the collection date so not even 24 hours notice) unprofessional and unorganized.
3) it seems the only person in the entire office who is allowed to do anything is Daniela this was confirmed with a call on 11/07/2023 at 4PM where I asked is Daniela the only one allowed to do anything, Lisa confirmed this is the case which is appalling considering she is always out on viewings
4) looked at reviews for the company, for a team that has no time to help or communicate, a lot of time is spent on Google reviews calling reviews fake and arguing rather than helping actual people who are asking for it
After moving in:
5) firstly inventory was promised upon arrival and was not given until 2 days after move in, and then information was missed (17/07/23)
6)
Kept asking for rent even though it was paid before the move in 1 day after the inventory was sent (18/07/23)
7)
After being told while sorting the house out that emails take 3-4 days to send, we were sent an email asking to leave a good Google review for a person we spoke to once, so they have spent 4 days to send us an email to leave a review instead of helping other tenants
8) the front door was very broken and was reported 8/9 times by previous tenants and at least 4 times by me, and still nothing done, absolutely useless before and during the tenancy
9) something happened that made me feel unsafe at the property ( will not go into detail ) and they refused to end the contract early due to it being legally binding also after breaking their duty of care which is also legally binding, they told me not to contact people for help and I did anyways and within 1 day we got a response (re-look at number 8 emails take days to write), i got a call saying I am released from the contract and will receive a weeks rent back ( i left at the start so it should be 3 weeks rent ), so after hearing legal action will be taken they got fear struck and did not want to deal with it, nice to know that they would rather get money from vulnerable tenants they have caused issues with than help them be safe.

Just when I lost hope of selling with a certain other estate agency. I turned to Century 21 and safe to say they couldn't have done a better job. Perry sold my house within 3 weeks of it going up, and whilst the process was very long (due to know fault of their own) it was hassle free for the most part with C21. Communication was not always 10/10 but no problems from my end. Lisa was great as was Ben. Would highly recommend for the Peterborough area.

Don't waste time with them. In 5 months, they never been helpfull just tried to find someone else to blame. They Found a buyer for my property and told me that he have all paperwork ready, but after it, basically everyone from century 21 dissapeared and not even tried to do anything. it took 2 months to my solicitor to get first bit of paperwork from buyer solicitor. Manager promised a weekly updates, but in 5 months i received 1 or 2 updates. When tried to ask for update myself, they ignored most of my emails or never called me back.
Edit: they messed up everything again. received a email from branch manager that as sign of goodwill I don't need to pay for outstanding EPC invoice. But I never used Century21 to get EPC certificate.

Ben and team really worked hard to find a tenant for our property as its unique in the market. Daniela was always prompt in responding to our queries and arranged viewings with a prior notice. The inventory includes a lot of details and helps in case of any conflicts during the tenant's moving out. Overall, very satisfied with the process and highly recommended.

Firstly, their customer service is nonexistent. It's as if they take pride in ignoring their tenants' concerns and needs. Whenever I reached out for assistance, I was met with rude and dismissive attitudes from their staff. They displayed a complete lack of professionalism and seemed to have no interest in resolving any issues.
Secondly, the house itself was a disaster. The so-called "fully furnished" accommodation was nothing but a facade. The furniture was outdated and worn-out, some pieces even broken. The overall cleanliness was appalling, with dirty carpets, dusty surfaces, and an overwhelming stench that permeated the entire property. It was evident that the house had not been properly maintained or cleaned for ages.

stay away from them i sent a deposit and for a month i can't enter the house they started asking me for a 6 month deposit :) I agreed with 3 and the they raised the rent of
the house from 900 to 950 very clear to them and i refused now they are not returning my deposit i have filled this forum 4 times, lazy people are not responsible for anything under any circumstances some message from them .

June 2023. Finding a flat anywhere at the moment is nigh on impossible so I was keen to see the one I am now as it was immediately available. Had the viewing so started the process which, given I wanted to move out of expensive temporary accommodation was done in record time. Picked up the keys from Daniela da Costa who runs the letting process at C21 Peterborough.. Being completely new to the City she even gave me directions as to how to negotiate the ring road to get to the flat. Helpful and thorough follow up from her as well. Very plesased.

Would highly recommend using Century 21 to sell your house! We had a few valuations and checked all of the agents other listings. Ben was far more consistent with what we saw in relation to what he said so we felt more able to trust what he said he'd do.
The listing looked great and described our home of 19 years with care and really captured what it offered to prospective buyers. Listings were arranged quickly and efficiently, and in most instances were grouped together.
The house sold very quickly and for an amount higher than we expected from the conversations with the other valuers, so we were well happy. We had several interested parties and were kept informed all the way. We also felt they were fair in the way they managed the offers, something that would be important to us if we were submitting an offer on a property, showing honesty and integrity.
In the sale process, Perry and Ben have been very attentive, updating us with every step of progress and reassuring us when we have been unsure of the process, offering sound advice all the way.
They really have done a great job at making the process as easy as they can, every step of the way.

Century21 & Daniela have been very supportive throughout this process of putting my property up for rental. It took me around 5 months to get the property ready which was longer than expected but I didn't feel pushed or rushed at any point, mainly supported by Daniela offering the services of Century21 for essential reports (EICR, Gas, Energy) and checking in every so often.
I took the fully managed service from Century21 and have left all the hard work to them, only providing the needed documents for them to get tenants ready and do the necessities. I'm yet to deal with any "aftersales" as tenants have only just been chosen and haven't yet moved in

Highly not recommended. Tried to rent a property with this agency (worst mistake ever) just to be scammed for £100 deposit, which would have been deducted from 1st month’s rent if I was to move in that property.
My paperwork did not meet the requirements to rent that property so I have been given the option to pay for 3/6 months in advance which seems ridiculous so I refused the offer.
Was not offered to view any other properties, even tho there were some potential rentals.
Just to be told after 1 week that the £100 deposit is non refundable because I refused the option that the landlord gave me.
If you want to rent a property in Peterborough, I suggest you don’t stop here, trust me!
They will easily send you to complain to a manager, adding “however I believe he will agree with myself”.

We had built a relationship with Ben over a few years since he first valued our property so Century 21 was the obvious choice for us.
He suggested a plan to sell that minimised disruption for us by having an open house so all viewings were booked in a 3hr window.
Pre-checks had been made on all viewers so we were assured that everyone was proceedable. A professional photographer was used and the photos were amazing!
We had a number of offers following the open house. We secured an excellent ‘in excess of asking price’ offer the first working day after viewing.
Century 21 kept us in the loop until we exchanged then completed. They were always calm, helpful and didn’t bother us with too much unnecessary detail.

We changed over our management company for our HMO property after having had a horrible experience with another managing agent. We were on the verge of selling due to bad management and Arrears until we discovered Century 21. Ben met us at the property, onboarded us and liaised with the agent to transfer to Century 21. Although the previous managing agent was making things difficult and not playing ball, Ben was persistent in chasing for documents and took the pressure off us. He put a payment plan together in place for the arrears and we now have an app where we can see when an invoice has been raised and payment has been made. The arrears are now being repaid by the tenants and the property is managed smoothly. I cannot recommend Century 21 enough. Thank you Ben and the team for all your support. We truly appreciate it.

Am leaving this review because it might be of value to some. After living in my studio apartment for six months I had some issues arising where one of the house occupants stole a package that was delivered when I wasn't at home to receive it. No worries I got a total refund from the company. Following that incident the tenants above me started making my life a living nightmare to the point where, when they knew that I was at home they would walk extremely heavy and slam doors etc. I emailed the landlord severally of which he wasn't able to pacify the situation or just wasn't too concerned because he didn't have to put up with the craziness, he was getting his rent way ahead of time every single month anyways. I was paying 20 quids shy of 700 for a small space. I just decided to find another apartment all together. My tenancy started on the 9 of the month however I was only able to give notice on the 19 of that same month after paying my months rent for that same month. It was hell trying to find a place within budget whilst at work five days a week. I even asked the letting agent if they had another apartment available, I would be happy to relocate of which they weren't to keen to help, I guess they were happy receiving so much money for so little. I left on the 9 of the following month and had to pay a grand total of 268.27 to compensate for the 10 days that I wasn't even there. I left the apartment very clean probably cleaner that I met it. It was not even a situation where I broke anything and they felt the need to be compensated adequately. Thanks Century21 ???? The short of the story be aware of the dates you give when u are ready to vacate a property.

It's quite easy to blame the surveyor, rather than admit mistakes were made by yourselves....
Firstly, the sale was agreed on 4th August, Perry had advised me that the property had an HMO license, IT DID NOT!
It was not obtained until 30th September. This was false advertising and I will be contacting the Property Ombudsman regarding this. You should not be selling a property marketing it as something, when it is not correct.
I have incurred valuation fees based on these lies.
Secondly, the surveyor was local, he stated the kitchen is too small for 5 ROOMS and it should be let as a 4 ROOM HMO. There was no HMO license in place, so he was going off the RICS sizes, as you are fully aware of.
The market rent they stated is correct and the value of the property is not £100k more than they stated. I am sure the next survey will show an indentical valuation. Even if it's close to the other property recently sold, that was £220k, not £290k that you advertised it at.
It's not my opinion, I have stated the facts here, which I will be passing my evidence to the Property Ombudsman to carry out a full investigation.
Set aside the valuation, the service has been disappointing, poor communication, the memorandum of sale was never received, solicitors never instructed by the vendor, so overall was a waste of time and money. Chased several times about information, to never receive it.
I do hope the next buyer has better luck.
BTW, the property hasn't been re-sold, it's had another offer, there's a big difference...

My experience with this agents hasn't been great. They advertised a property as "Ready HMO" and informed me it had an HMO licence. This was not the case. The HMO licence wasn't in place, the surveyor had downvalued the property by £100k, yes £100k due to the kitchen being too small and the rent has been downvalued too by £600 pm. Had they been honest and transparent at the beginning then I wouldn't have gone ahead, I have wasted £600 + in survey fees. Communication wasn't great either. Maybe the HMOs might suit a cash buyer but if you are getting a mortgage, be prepared to waste money on a survey...would not recommend to other landlord's...

We applied for a house more than 3 weeks ago. We sent pictures of all our documents and waited for an answer. Everytime I was calling they were blaming the landlord saying he hasn't make a decision, after few days, they stopped picking up the phone and reply to the emails. Fair enough if the landlord didn't want to go forward with our application, but at least have the decency to pick the phone and inform your clients and don't ignore them.

Ben and Century 21 were definitely the best sales team that valued our home and didn't make us feel pressured into selling with them. However they did recommend us far from satisfactory solicitors (who they had never used before) who have made both our selling and buying process more stressful than usual. We wish we would have used a company that we researched ourselves but trusted the advice from Century 21 at the time. We also found our estate agent sided and communicated further with our buyers and were asking for information regarding the solicitors and I didn't like being the middle man. We were given false information from the buyers side in a bid to make the sale go quicker and overall didn't find the team to have been very supportive towards their clients (us) during this time. Nevertheless the sale has finally gone through and we've learnt valuable lessons for next time.

The thing I liked the most was the communication, and always being aware of what was going on.
