I would not recommended to anyone thinking of renting from Chamberlains in Enfield. Sadly we we have to leave a bad review as we rented from them since 2017 and all was ok until we moved. the property was not in great shape when we moved in but it was habitable and convenient for us. We were never late and always paid on time and our yearly inspections were done and no issues. Sadly when one of the owners passed away the decision was taken to sell the property - they informed us and served us eviction papers which was actually quite insulting given our previous excellent history of renting from Chamberlains. We moved out as requested and did not think there would be an issue with getting our deposit back of £1700 but appreciated that it would take some time. The property was inspected by a female manager and once the house was empty emptied and Chamberlains were then saying we were not entitled to any of our deposit stating a whole list of complete fabricated things that needed doing. The property was very old - the kitchen probably dated back to 1980's and the carpets had all most likely been fitted in that period also. We then took our case to the Rent Guarantee Panel and discovered they had planted items around the house which were not ours - taken pictures and said that we had left things behind. Items planted were garden chairs, flower plants, cutlery, plates and various other items. We had lived in the property for 6 years and had always kept it cleaned and maintained. The moment the deposit was due back to us there was a problem and a big one at that. Very dishonest and underhanded to keep money from two very hard working people. This is why estate agents have such bad names and reputations.
You may wonder why I have taken the time to write this -its is because we only received a small percentage of our deposit. i have struggled long and hard whether I should leave a poor review about our treatment and to prevent it happening to others.
Yesterday my husband drove past the property and took pictures of a skip outside where the property has been stripped and completely gutted. My question to Chamberlains today has been where did our money go? Was this fraudulent as the property was not rented out again and has been completely gutted - I presume by a buyer? I would advise to check out the agents before you rent to avoid it happening to anyone else.

Andrew and the team were fantastic through our purchase - communicative without being pushy, always professional but at the same time interested in the people they're dealing with, and there to answer questions whenever we needed. They made the process so smooth. A special shout out to David, whose friendly manner and honest approach was so refreshing after months searching for a house dealing with 20-something plonkers with no experience of buying a house themselves. We came away from our first visit being in love with the house - and his showing us around was a decent part of that. Top marks.

My house sold quickly thanks to Chamberlains and, with their help, it went through to completion. I could not be happier with the service I received from Chamberlains. As Executors we needed an agent to give us a valuation and then to sell our late aunt's flat in Enfield. We used Chamberlains, having canvassed 3 other local agents and they proved to be efficient, helpful and and successful as well as dealing with all our emails problems/requests very quickly. We were delighted with the service they offered (provided by Andrew Ryde), the competitive price they charged and the minimum amount of hassle we had to encounter to complete the whole process within a relatively short timetable. Happy to recommend an efficient and helpful estate agent.

After an initial good service (when they wanted my money) it was fine, after 6 months the manager (Steve) became an unprofessional, rude, arrogant individual. I ceased using them and then Steve has a borderline breakdown with more unprofessional, border line illegal ramblings. Avoid at all costs

Absolute the best I have ever used and cannot recommend them highly enough
They got a great price for the property and handled everything superbly from start to finish
Would not consider any using other agent in the future

I found Chamberlains to provide an excellent service. They were extremely helpful from the first visit when they valued my property until completion. Through their advice my flat sold within two weeks! I wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future.

Chamberlain's estate agents is second to none. We didn't actually sell a property through them, but instead bought one advertised by them and the treatment we received was as equal as it would have been if the roles were reversed. They were excellent with us throughout the property purchase period and continue to shine through the after sales period. We commend them for their professionalism, honesty and efficiency (especially during this covid situation). David Fisher and his team are excellent and we would recommend them to all.
