Have had a terrible experience unfortunately.
I am a first time buyer and found a flat I really liked. I worked with Darren who assisted with putting the offer in.
I had a solicitor and mortgage advisor in place ready to go when I found a property but I’ve found it hard to find a property. So I’ve been holding off paying the fee to both until I found a property- as once you pay the fee it starts a 6 months countdown until the service is no longer valid.
So when I found a flat I liked in thame with Darren I was excited. He told me the service charge was £1300 per year. So I put an offer in. Then he told me it was £2300 per year instead - after I put the offer in!
And he didn’t mention ground rent was due to double next year!
And the biggest issue was that he didn’t mentioned that the building had cladding that did not have the neccessary certificate to grant a mortgage from most lenders.
So after I had instructed a solicitor and paid my mortgage advisor, all these details came out- which meant I could not continue with the application.
Unfortunately I was duped by Darren.
I do not recommend this company or Darren as an estate agent.
He has left me significantly out of pocket as I now have to race to find somewhere else to put an offer in, before the time runs out with the solicitor and the mortgage advisor.
Truly disappointing service. I could be out nearly £500!

100% recommend. My property was on the market for over a year with other local agents, I then instructed Darren at College & County and my property sold. He is unlike other estate agents, he is honest and extremely communicative. He calls when he says he will, replies quickly to any messages and only allows procedable people to view the property. The online video carried out is excellently done from the sellers’ perspective and the buyers’. It is different from others I have seen online. Darren essentially does a full guided tour as though the client was in front of him, explaining and showing everything. I strongly believe this helps with viewings as the potential buyers are already well informed before they arrive.

We recently sold our property through College & County and the process was so simple from beginning to end. Darren was great to work with he seems genuinely interested to get all the details, facts, and understanding of how to sell a property. From initial valuation, to booking a photographer and ultimately the property going on the market took less than 1 week. He was very responsive on emails and ensured that the sale went smoothly. If we had a problem it was dealt with immediately and any visits were made with times that fitted in with our work patterns, Expect for the 3 month Visits for which we had plenty of notice so we could make arrangements.
The team are always ready help, always approachable no matter what your query. We were also extremely lucky to get a great Landlord.

From the very beginning we have had an excellent communication with this agency. Me and my lady were looking for a dwelling to rent in Thame and had an apartment in target. In the end we decided on another property based on our urgent needs, but there is no way I cannot mention the professional way Catherine managed our situation.
