He organised a very last-minute viewing before a property auction, let us look around the property without hurrying us, and in the space of a few hours, got us all the information we needed to be able to make a decision. We're hugely grateful - Connells are very lucky to have him.

I was asked by Miles the manager to leave a review for him and another member of staff when my offer was accepted as their reviews were coming up. I did this as a gesture of good will, however I have now had to retract. I have had the most horrendous experience with Connels in Thame, I was Mis-sold, told the Ground rent was significantly lower than it was, which meant months of trying to get a Deed of Variation which Miles kept assuring would only take a few days so I packed up my entire life in March, to only get the keys in June. Miles was extremely rude when I suggested a reduction in the purchase price due to the issue with the Ground rent and was constantly promising things he could not give. My flat was handed over in a mess, no handover from vendor or any idea from estate agents how to work heating or find Meters. Had the most awful experience for something which was supposed to be extremely exciting. If I didn’t love the flat so much I would have pulled out months ago. Connels are lucky Miles is no longer working for them. I was also told to have my offer accepted I needed to use their panel mortgage advisors (who were horrendous) and this is illegal. When I brought this up to Miles a few months later when I was having issues he denied he ever said this.

We sold our home through Miles & his team at Connells in November last year and wanted to wait a while before posting our honest review. We initially met with 2 local agents and decided to go ahead with Connells due to their additional marketing material, in particular the online viewing tours as we recognised their importance with the current global situation and also we understand people looking to relocate from London will be keen to view online before in person. Viewings were conducted by Charlotte & Geraldine, who were both very professional on viewings and always arrived early to help us setup for viewings. Miles kept us in the loop with viewing feedback and after our 8th viewing we had our first offer. Initially the offer was lower than our expectations so Miles decided to continue with more viewings and after our 10th viewing we had an asking price offer. Our property was then taken to a “best and final” offer scenario and we then achieved a sale £7500 over our initial asking price. Miles then warned us of the slight delays over the Christmas period from conveyancers and I can say we did experience this, but Miles kept us informed and the buyers happy throughout a slightly turbulent time. I’ve lived in the Oxfordshire area for most of my life and have sold many properties in my time, I was slightly skeptical at first as the team in Thame are quite young but from my experience the service has been the best I have ever received. If you are thinking on selling and want an Estate Agent that takes their time to explain the process and work in your best interests then Miles is who you need to speak to. We are now nearing an exchange of contracts and looking forward to moving soon.

The whole team at Connells in Thame were excellent when my husband and I were buying our house.
We cannot thank Jay Sarbatta, our mortgage advisor at Connells enough for his help. We were unsure if we were going to get our house after we finally secured a sale on our own property because of a change in financial situation. Jay worked incredibly hard including staying late after open hours to enable us to have appointments with him. He was able to find us a bespoke mortgage that we would not have been able to get otherwise and that then meant we could secure our dream house. He left no stone unturned, and called/emailed us regularly with updates. It really felt like he was on our side and that he genuinely wanted to help us and find something that would work for us. I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone who needs help finding the best deal on their mortgage.
Charlotte and Hugh, our estate agents, worked extremely hard to show us around many houses around the Christmas period until we found the perfect one. They took the time to understand exactly what we wanted and were able to recommend the perfect house which we we are now making our home. Veronica and her team delivered unfailing professional, helpful and excellent service. As a first time seller, their advice was always helpful and spot on. Without a doubt I achieved the best price I could have done for my property, (a full £45k more than another agent advised could be achieved, albeit you have to subtract from that the cost of the lease extension, but still a huge gain, enabling me to buy my dream house/forever home).
Veronica and her team never gave me a moment’s anxiety about their side of things, (in what was, overall, a very stressful process), and I positively enjoyed popping in to see them and check on progress. Always a sunny, happy team in there!
As you can see, I highly recommend them! Veronica, the manager, is a true pro and a pleasure to do business with.
