They also supported me in finding a tenant and guided me through the process as a first-time landlord, making everything straightforward and stress-free. I’ve dealt mainly with Alex and Sean, both of whom have been excellent.
Alex has gone above and beyond — he is patient, honest and incredibly proactive, and has been instrumental in getting things done. Sean is friendly, approachable and a great communicator, and like Alex, has been consistently supportive and helpful.
It’s a lovely, estate agency where everyone I’ve spoken to — including Beth and David — have been great. There’s no sales pressure or gimmicks, just genuine, professional advice and support. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Speaking from a landlords perspective this company provide extremely bad service. They hold on to rents for far too long before they hand it over and don’t deduct maintenance costs in a timely fashion and save up the costs so you end up with a month with.no rent. And they seem to only use Cardiff tradespeople so if your property is in the valleys you have to pay excessive call out fees. And when you complain they don’t respond. Sean does his best to communicate and be helpful but he isn’t supported properly

Recently signed for a property in Radyr through David's Homes - the entire experience has been excellent and I couldn't be happier! After a nightmare in my last rented property, I have felt secure with David's Homes. Initial maintenance for my property was dealt with quickly & efficiently, which is refreshing after being in a property where I waited 6 months for each issue to be fixed.
I speak regularly with Sean and he is quick to answer all my questions, provide support and sort any issues. Sean has made my moving in period feel smooth and easy, I am extremely appreciative of all the help!

When issues, such as a leak that sprung, a broken fridge and faulty lights were raised they were dealt with quickly. House could have been in somewhat a better state, with some rooms not being thoroughly cleaned and some faulty appiances, but overall good for the price of the rent. However a key was misplaced before our tenancy started, and still has not been found. Overall adequate student accommodation and a good service

David’s Homes and specifically Sean has been absolutely amazing over the past two years we rented with them. I feel incredibly lucky to have had Sean as my estate agent, he has been helpful, supporting, efficient and highly communicative throughout our entire tenancy and I have never been left in the dark once by him or by David’s Homes.
Every little issue we had was sorted promptly and we were always kept informed with what was going on.
One time there was an issue with the shower that caused the electrics to trip, Sean had me on the phone with an electrician within the hour and we had power restored and the shower repaired the same day!
I honestly can’t say enough good things about David’s Homes, but if you’re looking for a new estate agents, I can’t recommend anyone more than I recommend these lovely folks.

Made moving in easy, especially during covid, and would definitely use again. They use a Whatsapp group so tenats can easily and speedily communicate with people in the office, which makes it feel less formal, more family orientated and far less fuss, than trying to call an office. This is a nice touch. And if you do need to phone the office, you're met by really nice people to deal with.

The worse agency EVERRR! We rent 3 bedroom house from September and 1 month after moving we start had problem with dump, but when we looking some house to rent I was inform that we do not want to have any property with this kind of problem because our douther had asthma and as well in our previously place to life we had dump and we life like this 8 yeares. We know exactly how big problem it is. After first visit next day we been happy because they promise us help and they see problem. Now we still waiting for any action from them. I ask them for have normaly Christmas but we do not get any answer. And we still waiting. They stop usnwer us on email and we stop to trust them any more, we not belive for any promise from them. We spend 1300£ each month for this rubish condition and nobodys care about our healt and safe. We start to process in local cuncil and we will go to court to expect our money back. This peoples create like very profesional company but please if you do not want be so stressful, do not want lost your money and time do not trust them. Agency like this should be close straight away. This is not agency this is company which make a money on someones helth and safe.

Never ever respond to enquiries - emailed and called multiple times just to be ignored. If you actually want to let some property, would help if you replied or returned calls.
Edit: Reply to my review was to call the number, which if you read the review you will see that you fail to return calls. Quite fitting it took 4 months to even reply to the review

When attempting to contact the office regarding an office space to let (via Rightmove), I found the agency to be surprisingly unresponsive and very unhelpful.
No one answers the phone.
I had a call back after leaving a message from someone called ‘Alex’, though given the reviews I’ve just read, it’s likely to be the main guy everyone seems to be struggling with.
I was enquiring regards an office space for rent (turns out to be the former DH office) had been posted as available from March).
I was told that space had been let and it shouldn’t be listed anymore.
I’m pretty sure that’s the nature of your business, DH.
I tried to contact the mobile number that called so I could get some further info, and to see if they had any other properties to let that met my requirements as there was no offer from ‘Alex’ to source any other premises that may suit, no further questions to assist with what I may be looking for.
Hardly the way to build up a repertoire with future clientele.
From the other reviews, it seems I was very fortunate to have missed out.
This is not the kind of business I’d want to give my money to.

I arranged a viewing with David homes, and my opening statement always mentions that I have a dog. I had a reply, a guy called David replied and said it would be fine. I booked a day off work and viewed this flat and liked it, me and the landlord got to talking about the furniture and my dog came up in the conversation. To my surprise the landlord didn't have a clue about the dog and wasn't willing to have one in the property, so after my time and annual leave was wasted, I received another email telling me the landlord would not accept pets...

We used David's Homes letting services last year. The tenant turned out to be a bad match for us, however David's Homes dealt with a difficult situation very carefully and professionally. The house was returned to us, and I believe the tenant was helped to find new accomodation.

Very expensive for what you get ... got the monopoly for providing school uniforms in Cardiff and the uniform they provide doesn't last.. Need to allow other companies provide Uniforms as this is very unacceptable for most parents.

If I could give minus stars I would! Dodgy! The positive reviews are done by staff! Advertise on scumtree and give false info. They are banned from rightmove for posting no dss adverts. Say there is mo admin fee but ask for one in every advert. DO NOT USE THEM!

Terrible Agency. Didn't provide us with a fridge or freezer for 3 months. Only let us know of late rent payments weeks afterwards when they had incurred fees when the only reason it was late was that they had demanded we pay in one full sum which wasn't what we had agreed too in our contract. Then we got evicted for 3 late rent payments - even though the payments were paid the second we were notified they hadn't gone through. Now it's been 3 months since leaving and they are refusing to give us out deposit back, either avoiding phone calls or saying they will 'get back to us' and then never responding. Terrible agency, rude staff, and they truely don't care about ruining the lives of their tenants to a point where it seems inhumane, only about what money they can scrounge up and steal.

Well I can only speak from my own personal experience. Called David's homes as I was selling my G/F flat. Within 3days I had 2 viewings. The first one was coming back with an offer and needed a second viewin, the other one was coming back with her mum and full asking price. Her mum didn't like the idea of her daughter living in the Cf242dt area. So within the next week another offer for the asking price but the guy had to sell his first. Within three weeks he has taken an offer on his with David's homes and everything is going ahead solicitors are already preparing the contract. So many thanks to David's homes and the team. I most certainly would recommend David's homes and will also post again once everything is completed.

We were looking for a 1 year tenancy, they imposed on us a 6 month one claiming that "the tenat had already paid a deposit so we had to accept him". Very poorly trained staff, unable to listen to clients needs and decision. They can be quite nice and polite before you sign a contract but mind you...after you have signed an agreemtn you will soon discover the real attitude and nature of Davids homes.

Put house on market and within days had 2 offers, 1 for full asking price. Very friendly and helpful and would recommend to anyone. Unfortunately due to family reasons not going ahead with the sale but Davids Homes have been totally understanding and very professional. All in all a 5 star service.

If you do use this company ask for proof that your deposit is put into a Tenancy Deposit Scheme - as required by law since 2007.
David Matthews of David's Homes was previously linked with South Wales Estates and unfortunately my experience was not a good one because the deposit I paid on my daughter's flat was not placed in a deposit scheme. So as that company ceased trading I have lost my £485 and cannot take action against David's Homes, the new company owned by David Matthews.
