This estate agent is a bully and looks down on all her tenants. Condescending and unprofessional the whole time I was there. Since leaving this property I have never recommended her once!
They will never look after the property sending handy men to look at boilers instead of Corgi registered people.
Expects you to be available for inspections with no warnings
Not sure if she even likes tenants.
Definitely not a people person unfortunately for anyone who comes in contact with her

Unpleasant, unhelpful and incompetent staff - avoid at all costs, unless you want to never see your deposit again. Very demanding conditions for tenants but the agency doesn’t fulfil the promises made prior to signing of the contract. Terrible communication and attitude, not to mention their miserable offices which probably were last refurbished in the 90s.

Would not recommend Barbara Rees to my worst enemy. Absolutely awful service. Staff are downright rude and condescending - often showing up to the house unannounced or with about 20 minutes notice and not bothering to make conversation/be polite.
Before moving in there was bad damp throughout the house that we were told would be removed prior to us moving in. This was not followed up whatsoever even after 8 MONTHS of living in the property and having to buy our own expensive dehumidifiers.
After the microwave that was in the property when we moved in had broken they stated they would not replace it as it "wasn't part of the property beforehand".
The property has had multiple problems with mice, leaks, an out of date fire alarm, lack of fire blanket and power cuts all of which have barely been sorted out and when they have it is a task to get in contact with the agents as they regularly ignore emails. They make you feel like you've made them go out of their way to provide services which should be a given.
Shame on you Barbara Rees.

Having rented from BR for 2 years in a row they seem fairly professional and were reasonable, even if their laid-back attitude was frustrating at times. I have had worse experiences from 4let and 2let2 and although BR dont do a lot of student lets, they handled it well!
