I’ve had a really positive experience with Marshall Property so far. Firstly, the quality of the house I’m living in has been excellent, with a very pleasant landlord. All of the facilities work well and the be never had to ask for maintenance help. Secondly, Holly from Marshall Property has been very friendly and responds to my emails promptly. AVOID MARSHALL PROPERTIES!! I beg anyone to never ever chose to rent a property with them. We rented a house in Kensington in our 2nd year. 1. The day we were able to pick up the keys we arrived to a FILTHY house that had not been even attempted to be cleaned, as well as this being unprofessional and unhygienic it was also in the middle of the pandemic so cleanliness should of been at the top of there radar. We then had to wait a week for this property to be cleaned - a week later the property was nowhere near clean, with the last occupants property still there. The inventory itself was dirty and there was so many things labelled clean that was quite the opposite. 2. So many things needed fixing/updating (dirty blinds, microwave filthy, broken floorboards, ridiculously clogged shower plug, garden a state, no chairs for our desk, sofa broken, toenail clippings left on chairs, bedroom door handles hanging off) we were in contact with the landlord who told us that they had told him the house was in perfect condition, he was just disgusted as us at the state of the house when we sent him pictures. 3. The whole year we lived there, barely anything was done. We received a new sofa and desk chairs ( this was only due when we were in contact with the landlord himself who was very apologetic, understood we had spent a lot of our money to live here, Marshall had no involvement with sorting anything out for us. 4. Marshall continually ignore phone calls/ emails on purpose. Phil needs to be sacked, over 20 times we must of rang him and he either lied saying he wasn’t available or fobbed us off saying he was waiting on the landlord, which was funny as we was in contact with the landlord who was saying the same thing that they had been ignoring him!! 5. They tried to keep our £250 deposit, saying we had broken things and they was waiting for our landlord to send them over the costa. AGAIN, we messaged the landlord who had no clue of this so he called them to tell them to give it us back!! 6. The only decent employee there is James who actually came around to fix some things but even then we expected a trained person to fix the house not just a Marshall employee. 7. The list goes on - washing machine didn’t clean clothes, oven was VILE we refused to use it until it got cleaned, damp smell, hoover didn’t work, hair hanging from pictures, bathroom mirror fell off the wall and broke, wasn’t replaced for weeks and they left the broken mirror in our hallway despite us asking them to remove it safely. 8. We actually realised we had PESTS in our house too, that apparently had been there BEFORE we moved in according to the pest control man, clearly Marshall knew about this as they were everywhere. 9. We also had damp, which they tried to cover up with paint, but clearly Marshall don’t understand damp as paint didn’t cover it. The colour of the paint covering the damp also didn’t match the rest of the wall which was also a very clever choice from them. I’ve never known such an unprofessional company, who just want to scam and mess students around. They don’t care about you or the house you are living in they just care about the money going into their pockets! The only helpful and professional party in this situation was us and the landlord. We could not fault the landlord at all, he was lied too as much and very apologetic. We was in communication with him that much about issues with the house, he actually sent us 5 girls a Christmas present. It’s disgusting how Marshall treated us paying rent to live in a clean and functional house and him leaving his property in such a state. They also lied to him about the previous occupants, apparently they left it in perfect condition which is why the landlord gave their deposit backs so he was just as shocked as us discovering how disgusting the house was left. Please see pictures attached which show a snippet of the state of the house. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. Marshall’s may seem friendly, helpful, professional to begin with but they are the complete opposite!!... Read more

STAY CLEAR OF MARSHALL! Awful business that looks to try and take as much out of you as possible. Failed to provide us with Internet even though it was contractually agreed that they would, consistently ignored our issues about the house and was always a massive struggle to even get in contact from anyone from Marshall. To top it all off, at the end of the tenancy they tried to steal our deposit for laughable reasons, luckily enough however we managed to get our whole deposit back. Shady business with lack of care for customers. STUDENTS SHOULD STAY WELL CLEAR OF MARSHALL AND THERE SHADY BUSINESS PRACTISES!!... Read more

I have recently just moved into a fantastic apartment that I wouldn't have ever been able to get without the help of the staff member known as Holly they are the most helpful sweet and patient person I have ever met and very understanding of me asking many questions even irrelevant questions. I have never met someone more professional and hard working than her and over the course of a month I have spoken to many other people from other estate agents and the vast majority were awful and have no idea how to talk someone nicely especially when you are polite with them. I honestly believe I would be stuck looking for a place still had it not been for Holly's help and I hope that they are rewarded for such hard work. I would also like to point out that they went out of their own way and time to help me get this apartment even if they didn't have to they did anyway. P.S I would like to add that my fiance shares these exact same views about Holly as well... Read more

Myself and my boyfriend recently moved into a rental property through Marshall before Christmas. Throughout the whole process from the first initial contact to the day we got our keys, we worked with a great staff member called Holly. She was lovely and always happy to answer any questions we had or put any requests forward to the landlord that we had. Even after moving in, Holly was really responsive to emails when we had maintenance issues and was more than happy to help us out. We would really recommend this team and can’t fault them in anyway.
