I have a friend who's building is supposedly "managed" by Castleford. They have had so many issues over their entire time there, that have been ignored and neglected. My friend has contacted over and over again, with no response. Eventually she has contacted their complaints department numerous times and STILL no response. I can't believe that these people working there can work day-to-day and have a conscience. What an absolute joke of a company, hopefully they get what they deserve. A few days ago we have found out that the lock on our flats door has been change with no warning therefore we couldn't use the old key to get in, we had not been given a new key for the new lock. It should be there job to give us a new key we have been told by out neighbours that we have to go to castlerford management office to get the new key. We pay for this house we should at least have the right to be warned about changes.... Read more

What an absolute joke of a company. For seven month's I have waited for a management pack from this cowboy outfit. I have had to pull out of a purchase due to their incompetence. Probably a blessing in disguise if these comedians are running things.. shame on you castleford!... Read more

An un-openable window lock was changed outside my flat door with no warning so I asked them about it. After months of no response, emailing, phoning, sending photos then more delayed response, i was told that they had asked the maintenance man (not officially the m-man but seems to think he owns the block) and "nothing had changed"......as if i am imagining it. The whole fitting changed. Only ever send us negative correspondence and anything payment related. Not helpful at all.... Read more

If you want to hold onto your sanity - and money - steer clear of this 'Management ' agency. We have been reporting issue after issue - Mainly to do with water under the building due to a very slow response to water sitting around the property. I have lost count of the number of Property Agents we've had - A new person every months seems to 'look after' our issues. Such a high turn over of staff. We're looking at taking legal action against Castleford - Our property is falling apart due to their negligence. It has come to the stage where I have given up waiting for them to arrange for workers to attend to fix the issues - Please - do all you can to avoid this company - Just look at how many other people are pi**ed off with them. This company should come with a warning - 'Bad for your Mental Health'... Read more

A joke of a company - we were looking to change managing agents. I contacted Castleford twice to discuss and get costings, both occasions I was told to email them and they’d respond. Needless to say I never got a response and we have since taken our business elsewhere. Obviously they don’t need or want the business! Based on the other comments I think we had a lucky escape... How are they still in business? Cannot comment on the quality of their service because they don’t do anything. Emails, phone calls go unanswered. The only way to get them to respond is to withhold payment.... Read more

Shambolic company to deal with. High staff turnover, constant changing of "Property Managers". Complaints fall on death ears, almost impossible to get any action on issues. Have even started sending post to my address without stamps to try and get residents to pay for postage, which, is itemised and paid for in the budget for the maintenance fee... Read more

Poor service for leaseholders and directors of management company. They purposefully leave renewals to the last minute so they can pressure you into agreeing their inflated prices. The property manager is based miles away, has never visited the property, is quite condescending and dismissive of both the concerns of leaseholders and directors. They have not solved / managed one issue since they have been our management agents. They dont get comparative quotes, they bill you for work they haven't completed (such as fire alarm testing) and when you ask them for proof, such as invoices for the company that undertook the work they cant. They are part of a wider company Qdime and they too have really poor reviews. If you are searching for a management company and reading this reviw I would strongly advise you to avoid them like the plague. We will be moving away from them as soon as we are able to.... if it was possible to leave a zero rating that is what this bunch of TOTAL RIP OFF merchants would get, if you are ever considering buying a leasehold property with this lot as the 'managing agents' be very wary, they cannot manage budgets and are only concerned with their own fees which escalate year on year, plundering reserve funds which they hold in trust for residents, be especially wary if your freeholder is Gulliver Company of Poole, they have a contract between them which belongs in the middle ages, you will not be allowed to see it and it is carte blanche for them to do whatever they want and charge leaseholders for it. Gulliver Company originally set up Castleford so there is a 'special' relationship between the two. Scurrilous, disgraceful, incompetent and completely dishonest, they will bleed you dry!... This company is rubbish. They manage (Sic)Princes Court in Poole where they charge for work that is never done. They blame residents for everything. This year they have charged maintenance on emergency lighting, but the place has been in darkness for months. It's clear they don't even inspect the property, Yet they charge a fortune for doing next to nothing. They are just rubbish. Avoid avoid avoid.... Read more
