Very Poor service , currently staying in cloud 9, Westward ho. The apartment at first had a real wow factor, but we were told 2 days before the holiday there was a fault with the hot tub and Wifi, but there would be sorted asap , now we were given a WiFi code for the neighboring apartment which did work for a day, but now on longer connects. Now on our last day and we still have a noisy Luke warm hot tube , which is almost unusable unless your feeling brave, this was ment to be a relaxing break, but I've ended up spending my last day seeking legal advice... We stayed in hawkerland edge, one of the cottages they advertise. On arrival at the accommodation we were told building work was to go ahead all week. Owners refused to compromise on this. It meant that builders were working at the house from 8-6 on 4 days of the holiday destroying our privacy. Also making the garden inaccessible. Hawkerland Edge was badly maintained and there were 2 leaks during our stay that reduced 12 guests to 1 shower.
Worst of all? Despite apologising at the time, after we left the owners falsely claimed that we had caused the leaks and quoted damage that neatly offset the compensation they had offered for the building work.
Holiday cottages have a guest help line but they failed totally to help us. It was easy to see that the helpline is a marketing tool rather than a service to customers; our experience was that holidaycottages represent the owners and not the guests.... Read more
