Farringtons were great, especially Nicola. I recently rented a one bed property that was advertised with them. They answered all my queries in good time, catered to me as I was moving from 150 miles away by allowing me to view virtually and even gave me a moving in box with goodies which was greatly appreciated. Thanks for all your help, I am loving my new place. Can’t recommend enough

I have used Farringtons for both house sales and lettings for years, sadly they have now been so morally reprehensible and unprofessional that I am would find it totally unacceptable to recommend them for either role.

I've just became a landlord and all I can say is that Farringtons have been extremely helpful, responsive and professional throughout the whole process. They immediately found multiple potential tenants within 1 day of the property being listed. They've helped and guided me through every step of the way to make sure my property is up to scratch. !!!!WARNING!!!! Watch out when letting from these. A Tennent for nearly 5 years always paid on time rent wise. Past are 6 monthly checks with flying colours the house is in the best state it’s been in (one of the agents own words) updated the decorating from its out dated state from when we moved in. Which they approved on more then one occasion. Gave them a few months notice that we was leaving which they come round and took photos of and posted on the website in order to sell and re rent and added value to the house (based on there value they are selling/renting on there website). We lived there with no heating in one room for over 2 years and a boiler that broke every few months due it it being out dated that they wouldn’t fix because ‘it was to expensive’. Yet after all this they are still hiding are deposit back from us are trying to charge us over £1500 for cleaning! Be very careful when dealing with this company! Make sure you keep every email every message and anything else!! Never dealt with a more money grabbing company in my life. If they would do this to a loyal customer of 5 years then there’s no saying what they would do to a new customer. BE SMART DONT GET SCAMMED.

I was looking at a rental place with my Fiancé and went through the process of viewing it within lockdown. Nicola was exceptional at keeping me in the loop throughout the whole process, I highly recommend this agency for it's professionalism throughout the multiple lockdowns.

Avoid at all costs. Took months to sell our property, eventually sold for £45,000 under their valuation after we'd done our own photos and floorplans (no floorplans were done initially).
At the start of November we informed Farringtons that we wanted to complete our sale at the start of December or it would have to wait until the start of January. They obviously didn't pass this on to our buyers and today we were told very bluntly by Farringtons that we either had to complete before Christmas or our buyers would be pulling out.
We had virtually no communication from them until we threatened to lodge a formal complaint with the ombudsman.
Terrible service from start to finish.

They cancelled the viewing I had booked for a property (the morning of the viewing and without reason) and then let someone else view the property the next day while I had to wait two more days. They then accepted the other lady’s offer because she had been able to get her mortgage in principle a day before I had!
And waited three days to inform me that they had decided to accept her offer, without giving me a chance to provide a counter offer.
Very unprofessional and highly untrustworthy.
Will not be using again.
