I completed on a property in September and Jack Casstles was my mortgage consultant. What we thought was going to be a very quick turn around, turned into a 13 month journey with a change of property. Jack continued to support me after the initial property fell through and helped me to secure the mortgage for the property I completed on. Jack was always quick to respond to an email, or be on the phone, answering all my questions, keeping me updated, and letting me air my frustrations at times. If it wasn’t for Jack’s support and guidance during those 13 months, I don’t think I’d be where I am now. I couldn’t recommend Jack enough.

From the moment we met these guys in their office in Chipping Sodbury they were warm, friendly and really helpful. Although we didn't end up buying with them, they continued to be smiley, knowledgeable and really made us feel they cared about our buying journey, whilst viewing properties they had for sale. Sadly this was not reflected across many Yate area agents. If we ever sell our new home, it will be through these guys! Thank you so much for making our journey more bearable. You rock!!

I inquired once about a property through Rightmove and have since been subjected to relentless emails (initially phone calls too) that I did not consent to receive. The most recent was for the sale of a garage, so there really is no screening process; they sign you up to a spam mailing list without your agreement and refuse to remove you when you ask.
I have emailed Sarah Cunningham on four separate occasions asking for my data to be deleted in line with data protection laws, which have all been ignored.
As a result of this unprofessional behaviour, all inquiries will be directed to local agencies who take GDPR seriously.

They REMOVED OUR LISTING AFTER 1 WEEK BY ACCIDENT so we were getting no viewings. Only found out because I checked online. We weren’t visible on any platforms. They dropped the ball so many other times but too long to recount here. Initially enthusiastic but no action to back it up.

We were recommended to Allen & Harris, but right from the start, they were not organised hardly any feedback and hardly any contact, this went on for 12 weeks trying to contact them and having to go to the shop to chase them, we since went to another Estate Agent and sold, within 2 weeks, so no I cannot recommend them.

It smacks of being treated as an easy money earner for them, when in fact the emotions involved on the day were overwhelming. Not having used an EA for years, it’s difficult to know if this is standard service or not?

In terms of marketing and selling I would rate them 4/5. Another positive are the solicitors they recommend by default, I found Howells very easy to work with despite not being local. They were reasonable value money and did agree a performance based rate that I was happy to pay. Where they are poor is in looking after their customers once an offer was in place. Communication was not as strong as some other agents in the chain, even allowing for the pandemic. On several occasions facts were omitted to aid their cause, not ours. At no point did we feel they fought our corner during chain negotiations regarding moving dates. In short, trust was an issue. This maybe typical of many agents and the way things are, but I can relay my experience in this case. Anyone considering using them should balance the good with the bad and decide what you value most highly.

Just sold my flat through Allen and Harris Chipping Sodbury and I found all of the team there to be excellent. Special mention to Alyesha who looked after me the most under the obviously difficult circumstances. It took a while due to the original purchasers pulling out, but they found me another buyer within 3 days which was amazing. Alyesha worked hard to make sure the whole process went smoothly. She was always easy to get hold of and communicated each stage so I knew where we were in the sale process at all time. Would highly recommend Allen and Harris Chipping Sodbury if you want a professional and smooth sale/purchase. Thank you all for your patience - I wasn’t the easiest vendor you’ve ever had!! :-)

RUBBISH!!! Shockingly bad. We purchased a property from them in November 2019 only to move into the property of June 2020, They lost our ID and laughed it off, they didn't keep us informed with what was happening, the estate agent who was helping us sell our own property had to do their job for them and keep us updated. Documents and forms that the seller needed to sort out were done late delaying the process for everyone. We realise recent events caused issues during this process, but as we should have completed in February there wasn't much of an excuse, other company's made us aware of their process during the virus and informed us of ways we could keep in touch or if we couldn't at all or we had at least one call from the area manager to check in with the progress, we had nothing from Allen and Harris, even when there wasn't a lockdown they were hard to get hold of. They allowed our sellers to give the keys to our removal drivers, they obviously didn't make it clear the keys needed to be handed in and again it was just brushed off, this was after waiting over 2hours from giving in our own keys for key release and after several attempts of calling them only to be ignored but as soon as the other estate agent called them they were quick to pick up, the only time they called us was about an hour after they had spoken to the other estate agent and there wasn't even any attempt of an apology. I would never chose to go with Allen and Harris, never with my own property and defiantly not purchasing again as they don't seem all that bothered. Good thing we had a decent Estate agent selling our property who was willing to pick up the slack. I wish there was a minus option or at least the option for no stars!!!!

Most important point.....they sold our house for us! We tried with a different estate agent and after many viewings with not 1 offer and constantly told to reduce, reduce, reduce we pulled our house off with them and advertised with Allen & Harris. After only a 2 viewings they had sold our house for the same price as the previous estate agent told me was to much money. Alyesha, Matt & Hollie were all very efficient and always call/email back which is a fine thing nowadays! We ended up in our dream home as they sold our house quickly as they said they would, need I say anymore?

Came in to ask about rental properties. No one from the lettings team was there but the ladies in the office were very helpful, quickly getting me a hot drink while they took all my details, recommending areas that I could afford and that would suit my needs. Sadly I ended up getting somewhere through another estate agent, hopefully next time you guys will have something suitable for me as the experience and atmosphere in your office is lovely!
