I was extremely pleased with Fitzgibbon until my check out last month. After 5 years of living in a two bedroom property where the landlord agreed to have me and my 3 small children Fitzgibbon have decided to take nearly half of my deposit. In my opinion this was to pay for the redecoration that would have happened anyway to make way for new tenants. I looked after the property well and had a weekly cleaner. The long history of rising damp seems to be my fault even though since I left they have discovered a leak, which they believed to have been fixed, has been there throughout my tenancy. Appalling service. The woman dealing with me was arrogant and bullish and clearly only cares about keeping the landlord happy and filling his (and their) pockets rather than ensuring I was treated fairly at the end of my tenancy.... My experience with Fitz-Gibbon was poor. They were amicable and forthcoming whilst I was signing the Lettings Agreement and paying their various fees but when issues arose, some caused directly by their own paucity of communication, I found them obstructive and arrogant in their response to me as a tenant. This was compounded by their treatment of me at the end of the lease. If you are going to use their services check the small print carefully in your Lease Agreement and do not expect continuation of communication or a solution focussed response should issues arise.
