We'd listed the house unsuccessfully with another local agent for 12 weeks before switching to Knight Frank, who then found a lovely (and chain-free!) buyer within 2 weeks. Yes KF are a little more expensive than others, but you get what you pay for and in this case that for us was first class service throughout the process, and a swift sale. I would thoroughly recommend. Massive thanks to Charlotte and the team.... Read more

Beware and avoid at all costs or say bye to your deposit and nerves! These people are systematically there to rip off tenants during and after tenancy. Smiley and friendly Vinoath (who is the only professional person) will be quick and efficient in finding you a flat and getting the move in done. Then the nightmare starts with Natalie and Joanne, who will do anything to blame the customer as opposed to help. The worst is the check-out when Pritesh and team will do anything to get your money/deposit. The company representative told us that rarely do they such a flat in such tidy and clean condition returned as we did. And 3 weeks later we receive a request by Pritesh to pay 400 GBP for 'hooks' on the wall that had been there at move in and a mosquito found in a sink etc after us having done general cleaning. I have copied below the original "deduction sheet" below so you see 1st hand how they work. When asked for invoices for the work done for the 'deductions' they can't present anything, but instead of ever admitting faults on their side will go into e-mail ping pongs with you and your only way out with them is to sue them which we will do ! Good luck to anyone dealing with them! Charlie managed the purchase of our new home and he was amazing throughout - always cheerful, friendly, helpful and responsive. There were quite a few challenges and delays in the process and Charlie worked very hard and proactively to resolve them with us. We can’t thank him enough for all his help. 5 ????... Read more

"Ripping off optimized" is the opinion we ended with regarding James Anderson estate agents. We have rented in England for 11+ years, in and out of London. The one year spent in a flat managed by James Anderson was remarkably a worse experience. Hence this review. Summarizing some highlights: · About two days prior moving into the flat, James Anderson tried to change the agreed to terms of the tenancy and increase the rent! We were obviously vacating the previous place and had nowhere to go. It was extortion. · The rented flat was in fifth floor of Deanhill court in East Sheen and accessed via a lift. The lift started breaking down frequently, which meant we had to use the service access stairs on a regular basis. These stairs are outside the building and was not safe for our kid. We asked to move out of flat before the end of the tenancy period. But James Anderson held us to the full term. We agree that was the contract. But our opinion that James Anderson could have been more considerate. · When it came to advertising the flat at the end of our tenancy, they advertised using outdated photos (more than two years old) and information (e.g. claiming the oven used daily for a year as new). A James Anderson representative stated advertising with such outdated photos is not legal but a “grey” area. · It took James Anderson more than seven weeks to return the undisputed amount of the tenancy deposit! · Our opinion that James Anderson made unfair claims on the tenancy deposit. This lead to a disputed claim which was later handled via a dispute resolution service. · The produced checkout inventory was clearly doctored. This was obvious as it contained photos taken at a much later date from the end of the tenancy! Apart from comments stated as opinions, other statements above are in our email conversations with James Anderson and their advertisements. Ripping off optimized - our conclusion about James Anderson estate agents. ... Read more

The agency placed a sold sign outside my property (obviously by mistake) it was there for nearly 4 months despite calling on many occasions to remove it. When I finally decided to speak to a manager I was asked if I was sure it was a Chestertons sign! He told me someone would collect it that day. Of course they didn’t so I had to take it down to the office myself as I was sick of neighbors asking about the sale of my house!?! Extremely unprofessional... Read more

Laurels have been outstanding from the very second we chose to use them. We first went with them because we put an offer in on a house with an estate agents we had never heard of before called Laurels. The estate agent name was Jordan. Sadly our offer fell through. However, due to his outstanding care we decided to put our house on the market with the same estate agents. For nearly a year we were unable to sell our home in a difficult time, after being on the market for two weeks with Laurels a very confident young man named Humza sold our house at a very respectable price. The care and attention that was given and provided from the photos to the last seconds of the day we moved out was faultless. Often once a house is sold estate agents no longer pay attention to you. This was not the case for Laurels, the level of attention and care for detail sets them among the very best. Due to this I know that they will continue to grow as an estate agent and they truly deserve it. Well done Laurels and thank you very much.... Read more

A thoroughly stressful and unpleasant experience using Laurels. Rob at Laurels repeatedly let us down whilst marketing our property, Was unresponsive, often not responding to calls or emails. We have some suspicions of being misled or worse, lied to, regarding offers received on our property. I should stress these are suspicions at this stage and investigations into this are ongoing. In our opinion, the poor service from Rob at Laurels cost us a perfect home to move into and almost lost the seller of this home thousands of pounds through loss of a deposit. My personal recommendation would be to save yourself the stress and hassle and go with agents with a long track record of excellent customer service. In Epsom, Cairds are a much better agent in my opinion and charge the same fees as Laurels, or Greenfields in the Surbiton area. Please don’t be misled by the notion that Laurels are much cheaper than well established High Street Agents are this certainly wasn’t the case in my experience. My advice, avoid.... Read more

The team at Chase Buchanan were amazing throughout and helped my partner and I to secure our perfect next home. The process was easy, they kept us informed and updated through the entire process and made us feel highly supported. A special mention needs to be made for Scott Messender, our Agent, who listened intently to our needs, understood what we were looking for, and provided an ideal solution. His guidance and Consultation was invaluable and I would highly recommend Scott and the team at Chase Buchanan to anyone looking for their next home.... Read more

These dreadful agents, didn't show up for arranged viewings, then I lost a property on the day of exchange to another Chase Bucanon client who was being looked after by another negotiator in the same office.
