Karan was very disrespectful and unprofessional bringing up her leak in the ceiling. I did not get my desired idealistic property. Due to her being a Karan. Black hearted like the rest of them… Avoid using this letting agency at all measures.
I’m certain if I had gone with any other letting agency they would have got me in the property.
I felt belittled and threatened by her attitude towards me & I’m convinced that she didn’t try her best to explain my savings to the landlord or my start date for my job. I am now left homeless. When I start work in 2 weeks time. With no place to keep my bike. Stop removing my review. As I have been nothing but factual and honest about my experience.... Read more

We needed to sell our flat at Victoria Wharf. Karan had a wealth of experience with the development having sold her own properties there. Our apartment was put on the market quickly and the sales details attracted buyers very soon afterwards. We had a full asking price offer after 2 days. Although the sales process was slow due to circumstances outside Karan's control, she kept us updated and helped where possible. She was proactive, responsive and gave good advice throughout the process.

don't rent from these people
the positive:
Brian. Literally just Brian. He's the only one I felt actually cared. Bernard (our actual Landlord) was also pretty good.
The negative:
To begin with, our boiler was broken throughout the winter season. It took me requesting several times for them to even respond. It kept breaking after their 'repairs', and each time it took me literally nagging them to actually fix it. By the time they actually fixed it, it was getting warmer (around March). This was ongoing for months and started at the end of Autumn, around October.
At the start of our tenancy, our oven broke. This meant we could not prepare any food other than stuff on the hob. They repeatedly, over the course of the next two weeks, told us that they sent someone to fix it, nobody did, until I reminded them of their obligations under the contract. The same day I sent that email the 'electrician' was conveniently available and sent, which is apparently who we were waiting on. Confusingly, the 'electrician' was our landlord, making me wonder what exactly took so long given how we had nothing to cook with.
One of my housemates moved out midway through a tenancy. Harry Harper kindly found us a replacement, however then decided to send my personal information out to this complete stranger without my permission or even telling me that they had done so. Upon me speaking 1-1 with the agent involved, she said quote "I've done this with hundreds of students before and nobody cared". I wasn't particularly happy, given how loose they played with my rights under the Data Protection Act.
Another point would be that often they sent people for maintenance, but never informed us and said people were just given the keys and walked with no announcement.
EDIT: In the interest of fairness I've been informed the reasoncfor the below was because of a third party system error, beyond Harry Harper's control. However none of this was communicated to us.
We moved out on the 28th of June. Harry Harper has repeatedly ignored us when it comes to returning our deposit. We have not even had a check out email, nor have we had any communication at all with Harry Harper. I had sent 4 emails and, at one stage, was calling daily to beg them to return our deposit. They repeatedly ignored and refused to work with us, and if we don't receive a response by tomorrow (9th August) I'm going to have to make a statutory declararion. On the rare occasion I managed to get through on the phone, I either got through to someone who is new (and asked if we had moved out yet, over a month after our tenancy had ended) or someone else, both of which said "I don't know whats going on, it isn't my job". Brian at least told me it was with accounting, and had the decency at least to try and help where he could.
Do not rent with Harry Harper. They have been the most frustrating and stressful group I've had to work with. They have no regard for their student tenants, and they seemingly spend more time responding and getting angry at reviews than they do actually doing their job.
I assume they treat their customers for houses better than their tenants, and I suspect a large part of this is that they see students as a way to get easy money, and don't expect the pushback when basic things in the house don't work.... Read more

They made our life a living hell.
We rented with them for 4 years on Taff Embankment and here are some of the issues we had to endure:
- No hot water and heating for a month during winter. We spent Christmas without heating and hot water.
- Water leaking through the ceiling and electrics for 3 months. The first few weeks we moved in water started pouring through the ceiling. Despite sending numerous emails and calling they failed to repair it for 3 months. Buckets were filling up with water.
- They claimed the flat was professionally cleaned when we moved in yet we found a used sanitary pad in the bathroom. Everything was covered in dust and grease and we had to clean for hours to bring it up to an acceptable standard.
- Mushrooms growing on the walls. There are mushroom growing on the walls in the hallway. We cleaned it regularly but they grow back because they don’t fix the water leaks.
- Walls are covered with black mould. Same story as with the mushrooms.
- Black rats running around inside of the flat and walls. Rat’s have been an issue in the last 2 years because they didn’t fix the wholes in the house. They told us we have to deal with the rats after the council came and identified several entry points that are literally wholes in the walls where the rats can get in. The council pest control also clarified they found our flat clean and the wholes need to be fixed. There were constant screeching and scratching noises from behind the walls and when we actually saw a black rat inside the flat we decided to move out. Only then they filled the wholes in with expanding foam.
- Water leak through the carpet. The rats chewed the water pipes multiple times causing water leaks. There was a leak where the water flooded the carpet and we just couldn’t clean it even with industrial carpet cleaner we rented. The smell was intolerable.
- Not getting back our deposit. We moved out two months ago and our contract ended 25 days ago and we don't know what's going on with our deposit. They refuse to tell us how much we can expect and lied about initiating the process with DPS.
To summarise, dealing with this agency was infuriating, the worst we have ever experienced. Save yourself from the struggles we went through and find another agency. Definitely don’t rent any of their properties on Taff Embankment.... Read more

Terrible agency to rent from. They don't carry out maintenance until you threaten to go to environmental health or the council. Don't rent their property on Taff Embankment 18 B if you want a rat free home.
They try to blame you for everything as a tenant. Be prepared to get charged for end-of-tenancy cleaning no matter what.

As I didn't receive a response, I sent the same query to another 3 email addresses I had over the next few days, to which I received no response.
