Still brilliant! Used James Pye to buy and sell houses for years and my recent experience was as excellent as ever. Quick, realistic, honest, responsive and respectful. Cannot recommend enough. Keep up the good work of making these stressful time easy.... Read more

I hate leaving bad reviews, but I was extremely disappointed with the viewing at my partner had attended earlier today with the older gentleman with the white Jaguar (I unfortunately did not get his name.)
At first, he was 15 minutes late to the viewing due to circumstances out of his control - which I find understandable as sometimes things like that happen, it is what it is and all. I'm not holding that against him.
However, what I will hold against him was his disorganisation - he hadn't had the code for the apartment, nor the applications on hand, and was extremely rude to my partner. When the agent's phone had run out of battery while trying to contact the office for the code, he had asked to use my partner's phone. My partner said yes, but then this agent had said the number far too quickly and got annoyed when my partner asked him to repeat and slow down - even so much as to mutter under his breath. By the time we were finally able to actually view the room, it had already been about half an hour from the original planned viewing time. When we had saw the room (which the tenant hadn't made an effort to clear up, but that's not on the agent so much as is the tenant.), it was very rushed and I didn't get enough time to get more acquainted with the room. He had asked me if I had my "numbers and all that". I was confused - to which he had given me a look like I had spat in his face. Eventually I figured out he was talking about my immigration information (which I would have to have if I were to be allowed into the country in the first place), but it took a fair while.
Eventually our partner and I had left. We didn't even bother sorting out the application at the office because this agent had soured our experience that much. Hopefully we just had the misfortune of catching him on an off day, because I feel genuinely concerned if this is his regular character and behaviour.... Read more

Great letting agent - we’ve had a bit of bad luck with the oven just before Christmas and between the James Pye staff and their Electrician, they ensured we were cooking with a brand new oven on Christmas Day. Any other issues they’ve been quick to sort. Been with them for about 7 years now and they’ve been great.... Read more

Rude, arrogant, condescending and short (maybe not all of the staff members but certainly the one I experienced). From my experiences I would not recommend for sales or letting, as a buyer, tenant or landlord. Particularly if you’d like a pleasant and courteous experience. Maybe some training is needed in building customer relationships. Common decency, every day courtesy and politeness go a long way.... Read more

Property listings are matched to data from the Land Registry by our clever algorithm. Clever as it may be, it isn't always right, especially if a property was listed by multiple agents. The asking price is the original listing price, NOT the final listing price.
