I have never had the support from Estate Agents like Hunters at Skipton. They are all amazing! Especially Rory and Eleanor. They both go above and beyond no matter what! 5 star service all the way! They care about buyers, sellers, tenants and landlords but they also invest time and care in the local community. They know through customers and families and I will be forever thankful for every single thing they do for me. Personally and professionally. Amazing! I'll be the first to admit that I haven't had the best opinion of Estate Agents in the past, but Melanie and Andrew at Hunters have been absolutely incredible to deal with during the sale of our property.
From the attention to detail during the initial meeting and marketing of the property, through to their responsiveness and guidance during the selling process, I can't fault them. They took the time to really understand what would make the property achieve it's valuation, and communicated that in the photos, description, and viewings brilliantly.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone in the area looking to sell, and just want to thank the team again!

Andrew Procter and his team recently represented our family in the sale of my elderly mother's house and I cannot speak highly enough of the advice and support the Hunters Skipton team offered us throughout what turned out to be (through no fault of theirs) a very tricky transaction. Even in a difficult market, the valuation Andrew gave was accurate, the marketing of my mother's property was professionally carried out, with an excellent 360 degrees virtual tour which really gave prospective purchasers a feel for the property, and actual viewings were conducted by Mel in a very caring and sensitive manner. Towards the end of the transaction, we also employed the services of Rory and the Hunters rentals team which was extremely valuable and conducted in just the same professional, courteous and caring manner. Indeed everyone we spoke to at Hunters was as friendly and helpful as could be, phone calls and emails were answered promptly and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Over the years we have had many problems with misdirected mail as we live in a property with a very similar address to one being sold by Hunters in Skipton. When an expected item of post did not turn up, the Skipton staff were most helpful in arranging for someone to visit the empty property and look for any errant mail. Their service was so swift and obliging that we will not hesitate to contact Hunters for a valuation when we eventually feel it is time to downsize.

It is with regret that we write such a damning review but we have been treated carelessly by Hunters, particularly by ‘Rory’. Due to his sloppy handling of our share of a tenant’s deposit we had to borrow money to make our first mortgage repayment (alongside petrol and child care).
Our landlord instructed Hunters to release our money on the 2nd of August. It took 2 days for Hunters to acknowledge this (at least for this blunder they had the decency to apologise). However, after waiting patiently for the usual 3-5 working days for the deposit (though with previous agencies it never took more than 2) we politely contacted Hunters on the 10th as we’d heard nothing. This was where Rory lied about having contacted the Deposit Protection Scheme (who coincidentally contacted us for the first time the following day). Had he admitted to forgetting us and for not checking his emails, that would have been fine. Instead he got defensive and rude and had the audacity to accuse us of being rude. He said it’d be with us by Friday, it wasn’t with us until the following Tuesday- ANOTHER 6 days in total for us to finally receive the deposit.
Perhaps measly tenants do not warrant the same treatment as home buyers/owners. I know in my line of work, acknowledging emails within 24hrs is a basic e.g. of professionalism. Rory was told this in our phone call; “good for us” he callously remarked.

Hunters , Skipton. Worst estate agents to deal with.
I have dealt with all local estate agents and they’re completely incompetent.
Moved into a house within weeks black mould started forming, landlord/estate agent ignored despite having a 8 week old baby in the house.
Spoke to previous letting agent, the property was known for having damp(why let 3 kids move in)!
Had a leaking shower for over a month before it was fixed, as landlord couldn’t afford it (£80). Windows were screwed shut so couldn’t even air the property again refused to fix the window. We ended up having to move out after 16 weeks.
The landlord came into a property when we weren’t in and redecorated, hiding the mould so they could sell it. (Currently on the market) The removed items belonging to us from the property and now they’re refusing to give us our deposit back as we left early!!!!
No apology from estate agent and ignored as family run business you won’t get anywhere.

I found the team at Hunter's Skipton very approachable and efficient. My house sale was made a little less straightforward and they were straight onto it, suggesting alternatives, options and contacts who could help with this. If I emailed they responded very quickly, in every case within a few minutes so whilst at this point in time, I never actually visiting the office, it felt very personal. Their 360 degree virtual tour was very impressive as was the supporting documentation which was invaluable in the current situation and definitely made the difference for my prospective purchasers.
I think that there is a trend for people to use online estate agents but I must say, dealing with a local company in my local area both for estate agency and solicitors has made a real difference to my experience. In addition, their local knowledge has been invaluable when I needed a bit more detail and intervention.
I would highly recommend Hunters if you are currently considering who to use to sell or buy your next property!

Firstly, Andrew thought so highly of our house and given it was a unique renovation other agents had failed to see it’s true value. Andrew is extremely knowledgable and experienced; this really showed in his proposals, and proven when he secured an offer at the level he’d valued the property at.
The technology that Hunters use for virtual viewings is fantastic and means that only extremely interested buyers come to view the property. Andrew secured our offer in under a week - and we didn’t have numerous ‘half interested’ viewers to prepare for.
Finally the broader team were very responsive and highly professional throughout. We can’t recommend Hunters highly enough - thank you again to the team for a fantastic experience and phenomenal sale.

Highly recommend. Hunters in Skipton is a very professional estate agents, which became apparent when we attempted to buy through a different local agent. The difference in approach and professionalism was stark.

I'd place zero stars if I could for this lousy agency. Sadly rented with them and the property was almost unfurnished when moving in, as opposed to fully-furnished on viewing. And in the contract. Spent weeks being passed around and as it turns out, lied to on what was agreed. It's in the contract! This rental was misery for me and my finances as had to buy furniture. Now I've employed a solicitor to acquire my deposit. I've never been treated so horrendously.
In response to their reply - I don't know why they are saying this. Plus they certainly do let furnished properties. Clearly a lot of fake reviews on
