Hard to get ahold of. Left two messages, they never replied. Finally got through on the third call, guy was driving, but we booked a viewing in. I turned up at the place, waited five minutes, gave 'em a ring, left a message. Waited another ten minutes, left another message, and decided to call it a day. They never got back to me. Absolute rubbish, clearly don't care about actually getting the property let. EDIT: I have no missed calls, no emails, nothing from Jillings. I was at the property at the agreed time for almost 20 minutes, no one showed up. In the response below they are either lying or simply incompetent.... Read more

Their referencing of tenants has always resulted in me having good tenants which I am thankful for. They have navigated me through the legal requirements for my rental properties and organised everything for both me as a landlord and and my tenants occupying my homes. The feedback I have received from all my tenants also fills me with confidence that they resolve any issues quickly and in a friendly and professional manner. I decided to go with a smaller independent company to manage my properties in order to receive a personal service and that is exactly what I receive. If minus stars were possible, I would give that. Absolutely disgusting. Do not under any circumstances use this sham of a Company. Worst conditions I’ve ever lived in. The customer service is awful, they’re unreachable 99 percent of time- and they just don’t care. Emails and phone calls are useless because no one picks up and gets back. Save your money, find another estate agent. Regret every minute of going with them.... Read more

Save yourselves the stress and find another agent. Application wasn’t “ unsuccessful “ as stated below. 2weeks of chasing and then informed the landlord had taken it off the market. No need to say much more as it’s echoed in the other poor reviews. As for the 5 reviews that have been posted since I wrote this, find it a bit odd that ever single one of them have reviewed the same places as each other ! More lies no doubt. Shame they weren’t as quick to reply to me as they were to post fake reviews. Ignore the fake ones and pay attention to the real ones including the ones posted on other sites.... Read more

I have been renting my flat out with Jillings Estates for nearly 10 years and I have been nothing but satisfied with the service and the swift responses I have received when any problems arose with my property. In that time I only had two different families in the property which is a testament to Oliver Jillings’ ability to source good quality tenants and the excellent communication we had so that issues were dealt with promptly. Both times I was looking for a tenant, the whole process only took a couple of weeks. My property was well maintained by the contractors arranged by Jillings and I was given sensible advice as to what needed doing after each inspection. I had complete faith in Oliver that my property was in good hands, even when I was on the other side of the world. I would highly recommend Jillings Estates!... Read more

Over a week ago I requested more details about a flat listed on Rightmove. Jillings Estates never got back to me. I specifically requested if it was possible to have a six month tenancy agreement to begin with, as me and my boyfriend are relocating from London to Nottingham, and I offered to pay the 6 months in full in advance (a few thousand pounds..). It would have been nice to have received a reply, out of courtesy, possibly within 48h...even if the flat was no longer available, they could have offered something else! Is this how they treat their potential customers? I have to say, these seem to be the standards in the UK...as if they wanted to say: "Sorry, your money is not good enough, we can pick and choose are customers!"At that stage, I was only requesting some more information! Do not use them, they are very rude and unprofessional as they do not reply to emails. By the way, the flat is still available on Rightmove...... Read more

I'm really quite surprised to read any negative reviews because the service I've received from Jillings has been pretty great really. The customer service that I received was good, nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them and the couple of small issues that I did have they went out of the way to resolve pretty much straight away. So overall I was very impressed and their rates were very competitive too. I very much doubt that I will need to but if I did I would have no problem using Jillings Estates again.... Read more

Booked a viewing for a property which went well and was told all the details and that I had to get my forms in by Friday (I viewed the property on Wednesday) Having gathered and sorted all my information out I was ready to apply for it on Friday morning online however when I looked at the listing again it said let agreed. I rang the agency and was speaking to Mary who showed me the property. She began to explain that the landlord had told them on Thursday to just choose a tenant. Even though Mary had told us to send information by Friday. Apparently they had been inundated with applications (over 20) even though the only viewings so far to take place that week were on Tuesday and Wednesday. She then began to lie and told me there were viewings all the previous week however when I booked the viewing the previous week I was told viewings started on the Tuesday. She then told me the applicant applied online which I was going to do anyway. Clearly clutching at straws on a reason as to why the property went. Couldn't answer any of my questions, no sympathy and another example of a estate agency that lies and doesn't care. Awful customer service. Don't bother... Read more

Extremely unimpressed with this agency. I spoke to an agency representative w/c 18/07, during the call a property viewing was arranged and confirmed. The viewing was at 12.15pm on 23/07 but on the day - No-one from the agency arrived. No-one from the agency called prior to the appt (to tell me the details had changed). No-one has called since the appt (to apologise, I waited for 45 minutes). In addition, I have tried to contact the agency since and have received NO response. I wouldn't bother trying with this agency again as they wasted my time and clearly have no remorse.... Read more
