Thieves and liars!! Rented a property with dangerous mould, despite being assured it would be resolved prior to moving in. (a common theme looking at other reviews, the promise of things being fixed prior to moving in). David Stewart (Director) repeatedly claimed it was condensation (strangely it didn't occur in the bathroom which had no windows though). It absolutely was not, it was thick black mould causes by damp (i had a damp specialist come to view it and it was certainly causes by something bridging the wall cavity allowing moisture to permeate through). The landlord tried to take most of our deposit with David Stewart fighting his corner for him. David tried to argue damp can only occur in downstairs properties, then when i explained the different causes of damp, quickly reversed this statement, they will try anything to keep your money! David further attempted to deduct money from the deposit for the damp, which i had spent the entire tenancy cleaning off the walls (once a week) which left the flat smelling like a swimming pool. David tried to claim that there is no such thing as 'wear and tear' (legally a tenant can not be charged for wear and tear caused by normal use and certainly not it is a result of a pre-existing problem). See screenshot for Davids response. Their business seems to take advantage of students and young people, who David feels he can easily deceive. Avoid like the plague. David Stewart has a suspicious amount of companies registered on Companies House, seems they like to trade under multiple alias, probably because they're cowboys. These guys are criminals and don't care about tenants health or well being. Technically Knights no longer do lettings David now uses other trading names to do this, probably due to so many unhappy customers. The only positive reviews are from landlords! DO NOT RENT FROM THESE CON ARTISTS!! If the property you are trying to sell is worth the money and honest use a good agent, don't be swayed by cheap fees! If you're buying a property listed with Knights there is a very good chance that David and his team are hiding and misrepresenting the property. Seems most sellers come to Knights as a last resort either being turned down by other estate agents or because honest agents can't sell it.... Read more

Really disappointed with actions by agents. Phone up on opening Saturday morning to book viewing for an appointment to view. Was told block viewings on Monday & we were 1st. That any interested parties would be put to landlord for choice. Have just been rung up 3 hours before booked viewing to be told property has been let. Directors booked in 2 viewings for Saturday and someone has taken it. We were available for viewings saturday but were not given choice. Think unprofessional actions by agents.... Read more

My daughter is a University Student and rented a property from Knightsea for her second year with three other students. Upon moving in, after being told it was in perfect condition, the property was found to be in a complete state of disrepair and filth. Knightsea were extremely hard to get hold of and slow to deal with the multitude of issues, to the extent that the landlord had to be involved. White goods did not work, the house was damp and filthy, blinds were broken and paintwork was poor. Over the winter months the boiler then broke down, again we could not contact Knightsea. All in all, a complete shambles, please give them a wide berth.... Read more

I had exceptional service from Andy at Knights and really in many ways he kept me sane through the torrid process of house selling. He was calm, knowledgable and extremely good at his job!! His advice was always accurate and helpful and he walked the line between my buyer and I with tact making it all seem quite effortless. I would thoroughly recommend Knights as they offer excellent customer service.... Read more

I initially had some problems renting out my flat- even though it is a very attractive flat- just a case of bad luck. In addition to being value for money, offering everything I would need as a landlord to offer peace of mind as I live far away and I'm too busy to manage things on my own, Knights have been professional in handling of all my matters. In particular Chris Redwood who was in charge of my property, would always makes sure he keeps me updated and follows up on his all tasks promptly and effectively. When there were a few hiccups he fought my corner and went above and beyond most estate agents. It wasn't just a case of business dealings, but he understood the personal implicaìtions and hassle of property mismanagement, difficult tenants, leases falling through etc. Thank you Knights, and especially thank you to Chris x. Unprofessional, rude, underhanded and apathetic are just some of the words I would use to describe the service I have received from Knights Letting. I lived in a Knights Letting managed property for 9 months and without a doubt one of the main reasons I chose to leave, was due to issues caused by how Knights Letting chose to manage the property. We had house viewings and workmen turn up without any prior notice and the landlord lets himself in as and when he likes. When we complained about the landlord, we got told the landlord is perfectly within his rights to enter the property without notice. It’s virtually impossible to feel comfortable and safe in a house when strangers can just enter as and when they please. There was always a lack of communication, trying to get anything fixed was an uphill struggle that can take weeks or even months. Trying to call on a weekend or in the evenings is pointless as there is never an answer. Whenever we managed to get in contact with someone at Knights Letting they would often treat us with a condescending tone and a complete disregard for our needs as paying tenants. Overall the service I have received from Knights Letting has been repeatedly and persistently below the lowest standards I expect as a tenant and I would not recommend anyone to use there services....
