The most unprofessional property agents ever! They are rubbish at pretty much everything they do. No help from them at all and the amount of distress and anxiety they cause is shocking. They don't follow or instruct their landlords on how to maintain septic tanks and they are in breach of the general binding rules set out for proper septic tank care or the safe disposal of septic waste. How they sleep at night is beyond me. I've been served a section 21 twice within 6 months because they are rubbish and have intentionally sabotaged us with a bad reference, so we can't move anyway. What a joke!! They are also professional liars and experts in illegal evictions.

From the first visit Leigh was open and honest in the assessment of the property and listened to and was empathetic to our specific needs. As new landlords it is very difficult to choose the correct agent that you can trust but since we have put them in charge of our property we had no issues. While we were happy with the actual sale of our property the rest of our experience selling with Lane & Browns was entirely negative. We were lied to on multiple occasions which left us feeling increasingly frustrated. We received virtually no communication in the months between accepting our offer and exchanging contracts, this lack of communication and unprofessionalism also extended to other parties within the chain and almost led our chain collapsing at the last minute (and indeed this would have happened if we had waited for Lane & Browns to provide us with the relevant information). Our complaint was not taken seriously & not responded to until we chased it up, at which point we received a letter which dismissed our concerns, dated 8 days previously, reaffirming their poor communication. Would not recommend at all.

I rented off of lane and browns magnolia house I would have rather of rented a room in a prison coz that is what it is like the neighbours all involved in your life lane and browns don’t care all they do is send emails about noise and the stress they caused both me and my partner is untrue even though she was pregnant at the time. They cared more for the people that had been there longer paying rent than new people Zoe is useless it proves how bad they are as there staff change all the time. Sam is the most arrogant person in there office when u question them about the emails of complaints they have no resolution but say this is standard practice . Not only that they decided after me and my partner had a baby only to evict us when we moved in oven wasn’t working no hot water in taps when the washing machine went we waited weeks to be replaced ripping all our clothes and never reimbursed for them I would not advise anyone to rent from lane and browns they are appalling !! I couldn’t have wished for a more supportive and helpful agent. There were a few problems that occurred during the sale of my house but they were there every time, consulting me and assisting with resolving each issue. They kept me up to date with all that was happening enabling me to remain positive and not loose the house I wanted to buy. They sold my house within a week and found me the exact house I was looking for.
I can not praise them enough, they were professional, responsive, supportive, thoughtful and thorough. They are a good quality, friendly and good value estate agent. They definitely deserved the fee I paid.

As a purchaser I have had to go through various agents to view properties and was shocked how often agents didn’t respond to my emails, calls to book viewings or when they did would send an 18 year old in a shiny suit to point to a kitchen and tell me “that’s the kitchen” thanks for that insight. Lane & Browns responded to my query from overnight before the office even opened and I booked my viewing. From then on they have been responsive, understanding and helpful In trying to drive the sale through despite various bumps in the road. Leigh has been great in being the go between for the parties and often kept me more up to date and was more forthcoming then both sets of solicitors at times! I would use them when the times comes to move again.

After renting more than one property from Lane & Browns, I found that the service, knowledge and communication where excellent. Any issues I had in my properties where dealt with quickly, not that there were many! The staff and communication at Lanes are excellent and would have no hesitation in recommending them, especially after renting from other agents, who were nowhere near as good as Lanes at addressing issues in a timely manner!
