Made the mistake to buy the house with them. Have had issues since I have signed the exchange contract starting from the garden. They only told me it would have been sloped (I can ski on it if it will snow) just when they showed me the foundation (far away from the deposit, extra payments and the exchange contract). Had to speak with another lawyer because the solicitors they gave to me didn't help me at all but I couldn't do to much for it and I couldn't lose all my money. Gave me a compensation of 1000£ even if I paid 2500£ more from my house value for the position (southern faced) and the garden (which is awful and useless).
After two weeks I have moved in, a part from the stuff we have noticed during the handover which fully covered two pages, the sink was already leaking and to have someone to do the jobs we had to keep calling and being really annoying because often they missed appointments. After the 3rd week I have moved in, for the first time, I had light in the garden and I have just noticed that the windows in my kitchen are completely scratched but you can clearly see it just when the sun goes through it and I had the bad luck that its winter and it wasn't a nice weather for the past few weeks. Straight after I have noticed it I have sent an email/ called the customer service and they said they won't take any responsibility for it because I didn't notice during the handover (that was in the afternoon and with an awful weather, as the past few weeks). So now, even if I didn't live for a month yet in here I already have to replace my windows on my brand new house for something they they have caused but I didn't notice before.
And this is just the 3rd week. I don't want to image what's next.
I would never suggest to someone to buy a house with them even if they give to you 500£ of referral, it is not worth it at all.... Read more
