Enjoyed our latest stay here. Refurbished rooms are excellent with modern bathrooms and large screen TVs. Food throughout was superb, especially dinner. Staff attitude and service much improved. Would recommend this hotel but watch road down to carpark, You can catch the bottom of the car on the sharp bend. This is way overdue for repair.... Read more

Never again worst food I’ve ever had £70 a head seated at a decorators table starter arrived before our coats were off never got chance to even order drinks till after the starter all this in the first 8 minutes roof looks like it’s about to come down cobwebs all down the walls couldn’t make our Xmas day experience up 100% would NOT recommend. Paid over £250 for a spa package only to not have the spa treatments included due to staffing issues, slow and poor service for the food, and uninterested staff (including the supposed managed!!) who could do with a course in customer service!! No one to help us when our spa got cancelled and they have offer a meagre £30 each as a refund even though we didn’t get more than half the package!!! Mould on the tiles in the bathroom, paper thin walls, and the lift was out of order too! Being told 1 hour before our spa treatments that it was cancelled when we had travelled over two hours for a lovely weekend away. Over all disgusted in the experience.... Read more

My partner and I stayed one quiet Sunday night in December, and therefore paid a very reasonable rate. We found the hotel staff to be friendly, and our room spacious and clean. We could not fault the choice of hot and cold breakfast food available, especially given it was such a quiet time. I did use the spa got an hour. I found it to be clean and pleasant, though not all the facilities were in operation. I am not sure whether we would consider paying the full rates at this type of hotel essentially for an overnight break of journey. However we had no complaints about our stay.... Read more

The hotel was really nice...pretty quiet while we were there, but good atmosphere, warm and welcoming with delightful staff. Breakfast was excellent, room was large, spacious, comfortable and VERY hot!! We did ask for the heating to be turned down or off, as it happened to be pretty mild weather at the time. But, I would MUCH rather have it hot than cold, so it wasnt really a problem. Rather an unsightly white box in the foyer currently, covering the lift entrance i believe, but i assume the broken lift will be fixed soon. We enjoyed the spa very much, but sadly the steam room was out of order. We'll definitely go again and would recommend the hotel.... Read more

On booking this hotel for a black tie function. I was told they where disability friendly. On arrival I found the lift out of order, and my room at the rear of the hotel. My wife is disabled and uses a mobility scooter. She has difficulty climbing stairs and walking great distances. As I had payed fully on booking, I had to stay here as we were unable to move rooms . This ruined what should have been a good weekend meeting up with Army Veterans and celebrating a battle honour. Weekend 5-7Nov21. I sadly will not book this hotel again. Staff friendly. Had some problem's with key cards to rooms. Food was very nice, was at a function. Lots of food available at breakfast. Little hard to find will need sat nav to find if not been before. Lift was not working so had a lot of stairs to go up and down. Even with the few issues would recommend staying... Read more

Staff were nice, friendly and helpful. Lift was out of order, so reception staff carried cases to and from our room. Spa facilities were modern and clean. Breakfast was average and was kept topped up. The room - where do i start - filthy. Cobwebs round walls, hanging in balls on the paper. All furniture was dusty. Curtains badly stained. Bathroom needed a good clean too. Carpet needed hoovering. Sheets were fresh and clean. Told reception about room and was promised a cleaner would attend - never did. After a 2 day stay, we left without ever seeing a cleaner If you choose to stay best pack your cleaning products.... Read more

Visited the Spa, was very underwhelmed. Have contacted the hotel to let them know of the issues I raised and heard nothing back. The spa was very untidy and clearly had not even been cleaned or wiped down all day!! The towels were over flowing and there were plastic wrappers from the slippers all over. Nobody had been in there to clean and to think now more than ever cleanliness is paramount I was shocked at the state of the changing rooms. The pile of towels was almost as big as me! To say that this hotel is trying to have a prestigious spa experience I would recommend starting with the basics which is maintaining a clean and tidy spa. Have given 2 stars as we had a nice time. I will also say be very careful when walking around with the slippers on, we all slipped many times - this is bad interior design planning. We did enjoy the afternoon tea however each sandwich was a different size. I wish I could add pictures to show everyone. I would say they are bite size sandwiches. I didn’t like the sweet deserts as they were all nutty.... Read more

The room was extremely hot with the window only able to be opened about 4inches(probably to stop you climbing out). Heat from the very hot towel rail in the bathroom didn't help.a sign in the bathroom announcing the water was hot did not lie. It was a strange sensation brushing my teeth in hot water. The light above the bathroom mirror did not work. It took two requests to finally get a fan. Also had to request a hair dryer as there was not one in the room. At first the room keys would not work and had to be reactivated. The hotel lift did not work. Other than this the hotel was okay but will not be returning.... Read more

Had a lovely 1 night stay here staff are really helpful and friendly. We ate in the restaurant and the food was nice and breakfast the same. Spa facilities on site hydro pool, steam room, sauna and gym. Really enjoyed it. About a 10 minutes walk into the centre of Ilkley. Would definitely return... Read more

Well where do I start. No hot water in the bath dead squashed flies on curtains on window. Food still on the floor off previous guests. The bathroom was like a ice rink I nearly fell a few times. We booked for a night's stay for my partners birthday with a treatment to be told we couldn't get a treatment because there was no one to give us one so maybe tomorrow. We go the next day to be told they don't do treatments on a Monday and Tuesday. Then breakfast on Monday morning wasn't good either very small portions and very miserable staff. We arrived on Sunday afternoon we went to the bar for a coffee and a snack to be told there is no food on as there are no chefs. So overall rating of this is a massive disappointment I won't be returning. Needs updating and good lick of paint and a really good clean... Read more
