As a couple that needed to reluctantly downsize, Debbie at Hunters found us the perfect property. Although we know Ilkley quite well, Debbie’s local knowledge helped hugely. She was patient and listened to us without judgement. Hunters and Debbie have made what could have been a stressful move to an easy transition. Debbie’s attention to detail is excellent and my husband and I felt safe and secure in the very emotional move. We love Ilkley and its fabulous community. This was the worst sale I have experienced during my 7 3 year life and left me drained mentally & physically. My late 96 year old small flat took 2yrs 4mths to get rid of which cost a total of approx £14k & the stress involved. I changed agents but blame some of it on outdated property market protection for sellers especially when it is was sold to the exchange stage before pull out with no compensation. The unprecedented depressed market from 2019 affected by the EU elections, 2 General Elections, Parliamentary paralysis,and the Coronavirus would have finished anyone weaker than me.I could go on about paying exorbitant council rates for empty flats of £3k.This is just some of obstacles involved without mentioning suppliers & Government & Utilitity institutions with poor IT systems.... I have just moved home but I was in a rented property with Hunters for two years. I found the staff very friendly, helpful and extremely professional. I had some issues with the boiler being replaced and could have been without heating and hot water one weekend in December. Jayne Burdon did everything she could to ensure that that didn't happen and the boiler was fixed on the Saturday afternoon. I realised that whenever I had an issue, however small that the response was extremely quick and efficient.
