The most unorganised agency we have ever rented with! We have rented via Brand Vaughan from November 2022 until July 2024. The flat was a one bedroom situated opposite the AIDS memorial in Brighton, The agent assured us that it had been professionally cleaned before we will receive the keys, We have had to wait for the keys for the amount of four hours because "Works were being done on a leaky pipe in the bathroom" Drenched in rain and waiting in front of the office we finally received our keys and had to go back to the removal van, Upon entering the property, it smelled stale and the windows in the bedroom were broken. The whole house was cold and it was full of cobwebs, Visible signs of smoking within the premises were presented, When we open the bedroom window, we found roll up cigarette butts between the window and the windowsill, In the living room, we found dead flies on the window and cobwebs everywhere, One of the window locks was not functional and windows had such large gaps that air would come through as if there were no windows, Naturally, we got concerned when we saw the state of the bathroom that had recently been redecorated according to Brand Vaughan, The tiles were Painted over with a grey paint There was a window that had not been painted for a very long time, And the ventilation system was a broken in glass Wind powered fan, On the outside of the bathroom window, there was so much moss we took to calling at the garden in jest, But there was nothing funny about the fact that the place has both the main waters supply valve and the hallway electricity supply in the property. The exterior of the property looked as if it had gone to World War II and had been forgotten. The entryway door looked as if It were a smokehouse for meats door, When we cleaned the hob we realised that it only blows out the air back into the kitchen because it was not connected to anything ,The filter was full of grease and the entire kitchen was grotty and smelled of mould . To say that we were disappointed is an understatement, From downstairs one could smell the smoke of marijuana and from upstairs one could hear the constant stomping of two fat neighbours. If you went outside of the property, you were more than likely harassed by one or several of the dubious characters living only two houses away at a rehabilitation facility run by the council. The only good thing about that flat was that it was close to all of the amenities and had a partial view of the sea from the living room. When we left, we were informed that the "no deposit scheme" Was more of a "no deposit scam" And that it Did not even cover something as basic as a professional clean, We are now being hunted down by the agency Brand Vaughan for the money that we are allegedly owe them because everything was only in "Domestic standards" Clean and not professionally done. This is after we had painted and redecorated in the exact same manner they had it done already, The house was clean. The skirting boards were clean. The only thing that I will give them is that the bathroom tile paint was chipped, Naturally, because one should not paint the tiles and one's bathroom. And the fact that in the kitchen that I had fair wear and marks considering that it was a cheap linoleum in the first place placed on top of the linoleum that was there previously. DO NOT RENT WITH THIS AGENCY! OR IF YOU do, make sure you gather all the evidence you can right after moving into their "buget" properties, also TAKE THE TIME TO READ THE CONTRACT because brand Vaughan WILL try and find a way to get money they don't deserve from you!... Not good experience with this Agency. Poor communication when you need them. Send emails and they not replay. Long time to sort issues out. I suggest to all making photos of the property before leaving to avoid charges on your deposit. I am not happy at all. I have been looking after the flat because I was so happy there and then, they treated me as a dirty person.... Read more

I recently booked and stayed at one of the apartments in Brighton Marina. The booking process with Brand Vaughan was straight forward, staff were helpful both via email and phone calls. The penthouse apartment was exactly as advertised, very well maintained and presented. All the amenities you could ask for. Collection and return of keys was from the agents office, close to the apartment. Aftercare was good. Will definitely use the company again to book accommodation.... Read more

We rented a holiday apartment overlooking Brighton Marina through Palms Properties. The booking process was straight-forward with good communication and the check-in process was easy and quick - with some good advice on the area provided by the team at the office. The apartment was as described on their website, very comfortable and in a great location -- with bars, shops and restaurants on your doorstep and with great views of the marina.... Read more

The property was modern and little "tired/used" in places. TV, DVD and WIFI to hand. The location was great within a two minute walk to the marina walkway, bars and restaurants and a five minutes stroll to the sea front. Bed and bedding 100% TV also in bedroom. The garden needed a little TLC but this did not affect sitting in there to enjoy a drink. Suzanne did offer to get the gardener to attend if it had been a problem. The bathroom had been refurbished and this was appreciated. Overall stay was very enjoyable, the staff in the office were very quick to respond to any small snags and we would return in the future and recommend the apartment.
