Unreliable estate agency. Just stay away. They do everything to keep your deposit. They don't hold the deposit in a state protected scheme and they keep your deposit after leaving the property. They blackmail you to prevent you going to court or council to get help to recover your deposit. They don't maintain their properties and when you contact them to fix anything, they simply threaten to kick you out of the property. A totally outlaw agency. Don't trust Kumran Mahalingam or his girlfriend Alexandra for anything and keep track of all your payments. Keep all your communications written only, nothing verbal. If you make a mistake to rent a property from this agency, you'll end-up in a court room, get ready for it. We highly doubt that they pay their income tax either so they're doing business illegally. They don't present any document about their authorisation to rent the property either. When you make a mistake to rent a property through Portia lettings don't enter to a verbal contract but make sure a written contract is signed by both parties. Just stay away from this agency, they're just scammers and cheaters. We have ended-up in a court room as well.... Read more
