It is the best place ton have a house

Identifying particular addresses in this area is a tortuous venture. Some of the blocks of flats are not marked well. If you are visiting someone, the owner will probably give you a parking permit. If you are visiting multiple addresses, you need to get a permit from the office. Then you need to find a visitors bay. If you fail to do so, the private parking company that is 'in charge' will issue you with a ticket. This is not the council & are full of it.
Fortunately, someone had the foresight to place a cafe in the middle of this hell on earth. Fidget & Bobs is probably the only good thing about this place.

Beautiful area, landscaping. Very high quality beautiful apartments. Few issues with security but being resolved with cctv

Nice and quiet landscaped areas, with little pollution and an attractive piazza. However, there are few amenities.

The level of security around kennet islands is low with vandalisms and bike thefts taking place frequently. Very disappointing when you think the cost of buying a property in the area is ridiculously high.

I have been living in Kennet Island for more than 3 years and the internet connection provided is shameful.
You would have thought that a new house development half an hour away from London such as this as this, would already have invested in fibre-optics or at least a descent connection, but don'f fool yourself.
The fastest speed provided is of only 3mb. Most times you cannot watch or stream at low resolution video without legging.
I hope this will be soon fixed. But for now, quite frustrating.

I bought my St James built flat in 2006,the,common areas of the 22 properties were scheduled for redecorations in 2008 & 2012. The work was finally started in June this year but there have been many delays and there is no evidence of a survey and risk assessment having been performed. The wooden balconies have extensive wood rot and should be rebuilt.
