After enquiring about a house, 10 days later I got a call to say it was now sold, which was obviously useless. As a seller I'd be really disappointed that enquiries about my house are not followed up promptly and they have lost me as a potential future customer when I do need to sell my house as I want an agent who follows up potential sale queries much more promptly and efficiently. As a buyer, I've potentially lost out on my dream house because of the failure to contact me after my query. Disappointing experience really and not a hard thing to get right, surely? I do appreciate they may have a few enquiries, but customer service goes a long way here and to not follow up a query immediately or until after the house is sold is completely counterproductive to me....
