Absolutely appalling customer service. I was discussing a rental property a few months back with the branch manager, who turned out to be totally unhelpful. As I went on to be open and offer my feedback to them, they became verbally aggressive. Trying to evade this confrontation, I’ve put the phone down, to which they’ve sent me an aggressive email. I have been renting for a number of years from a handful of landlords, I’ve never experienced any issues, and certainly I have never come across anything like this. I’ve just been through some of their other reviews and it turns out they accuse everyone of being aggressive who dares to give them a negative feedback, so I won’t be surprised if I get the same.

Sawyers have managed the letting of the rental property where I live. I have found them and in particular Steven Sawyer, very helpful, professional and effective. When I have had issues, they have responded promptly and provided the support required to address the problems - including water leaks and a tap problem. Steven takes the time to explain matters and his proposed solutions, treating me with respect. He has gone above and beyond the service I have ever experienced with any other letting agency. I am generally a happy tenant.

Office manager at Sawyer's insisted on leaving a SOLD board outside my house for four months, after his colleague had courteously offered to take it down after a fortnight. The manager was extremely discourteous. I was not, by the way, selling my house at the time.
I am now. Within 24 hours, my estate agent's board had been vandalised. Something unpleasant is going on here. Be aware of it if you choose to deal with this individual. I am sure the owners of Sawyer's would be horrified by his attitude.

I have been using estate agents in Stroud for 33 years now and I have found Sawyers to be the best ones.
Their whole process and professionalism have been spot on.
They communicate regularly with updates so I know what is happening.
I highly recommend Sawyers to anyone wanting to sell or let their property.

During an encounter with a discourteous woman who demanded information to schedule a level three survey inspection for a new Buyer, despite being informed that the other representative was unavailable, the request to book an appointment and the subsequent interrogation of the surveyor, who had limited information due to being responsible for surveying the property only, was considered unreasonable and nonsensical.
As a 12-year veteran of the surveying practice, this was the first instance of such absurd and unbelievable questioning on the phone.
To maintain a professional image, it is recommended that the firm either verify the caller's identity with the Buyer if they do not believe the phone call or request confirmation via email from the interested party.
If keys need to be collected, ID can be taken on the day (as most agents do request this).
Maintaining the highest level of service is paramount, and such unprofessional behaviour will tarnish the firm’s reputation; someone needs retraining in attitude and customer service or try an alternate line of work.

Made me feel welcomed and relaxed as I'm a first time renter. Knew what I was looking for and made sure I knew everything there is about the property. Great tour of the property and excellent knowledge of the ins and outs.

Never having sold a house I was very pleased with how all the staff at Sawyers treated me. My allocated one Clive was always on hand to smooth things over. The advert worked and within a couple of days we had enough bidders to close the advert! And then make the sale!

I tried to rent from them, they kept my deposit money for two years and only gave it back so that I’d remove my honest review. Do not use these people. They are not very nice in any way. They will keep your deposit if they can and are very rude in all mannerisms. Avoid at all costs. Honestly they took a deposit for a property and then refused to let it to me, I later found out, they had already rented it to someone else. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. These are not nice people and should not be in business in my humble opinion. Stay clear, use someone else.

I have recently rented a house through Sawyers Estate Agents. Although I have only been in in the country a few months, Steven helped at every step so that I could rent the property.
There was a hick up with the initial move in date due to an unforeseen gas leak, but Steven made sure that this was sorted out, on a Sunday no less! He even made sure that the feed from the satellite dish was sorted 2 days before Christmas.
I would definitely recommend Sawyers Estate Agents.

We dealt with Sawyers for both our sale and purchase. Our home was presented to market quickly and extremely well, lovely photos taken and detailed floor-plans produced - all carried out and produced by Clive himself - which surpised us as we were expecting to have to pay for them separately to third parties. Clearly two of Clives many talents!
Our home was under offer in no time and after a short spell of negotiations our purchase was also agreed. 6 weeks later we were in!
We just wanted to thank Clive and his team for making the whole experience an enjoyable one, calls were always taken or returned promptly and we were kept updated on progress throughout. Thank you Sawyers.

I had a difficult property to sell, at a very busy time of my life, and the staff at Sawyers were all perfect gentlemen, extremely helpful and encouraging, unfazed by any of the negatives and totally committed to reminding me of the positive aspects and the potential that buyers would see.
Nothing was too much trouble, advice was calm and available at all times, even on the very last day when there was a glitch, they were there to help and smooth the way, and to help me see the right approach.
I would wholeheartedly recommend using this local firm, all of the people in the office completely understand Stroud and it's nuances, can pitch the price sensibly and do not charge a fortune either. I was made to feel like a valuable customer and what could have been a really negative experience became an adventure!

I used Sawyers last year to sell my house. They did a fantastic job for a great price of just £999. The house sold in just four days of being put on the market and for the price I wanted. I was told by another estate agent that, although the agents' commission of £999 looked attractive, it would cost me more in the long run. How wrong can you be ?
I dealt with Clive at Sawyers for all but the initial valuation. He dealt with everything in an extremely professional manner and was always available to answer any questions. As with any house sale, there were a couple of problems; at one point I was looking for a gas engineer to service the boiler prior to handover and couldn't find anybody in the Stroud area who could do the work within the timescale. Having explained the problem to Clive I was soon contacted by Amber Heat who arranged to visit the house and carry out the required service.
I would certainly use Sawyers again. They are as they claim the 'Friendly Estate Agents' .

Impressed! Previously had our property for sale with an online agent, but took it off after 3 months after only getting two viewings . Sawyers estate Agents selling fee was only £999 so decided to give them a try. We are so glad we did. Sawyers sold our house in two weeks. We had feedback after each viewing and were kept updated during the sale too. Highly recommend.

I have never experienced a phone call like it! Rang to get information on a property and was told not to bother booking a viewing as block bookings only, being taken and I would be wasting my time as the property will have gone! They would not consider doing an earlier viewing which I requested, as basically they said it is too much hassle doing individual viewings. Not quite the "customer service" I was expecting! Disgusted.
