I have used Andrews as sole letting agent for the last five or more years. I find them professional, yet not rigid and fair in their dealings with landlord and tenant. I refer to Andrews on points of landlord and tenant law as they have good legal backing and up to date training. Long may our relationship continue.

“We have rented properties in London and Stroud over the last 11 years, and our experience with Andrews as our Lettings Agent has by far been the worst.

The staff are inexperienced and lack full knowledge of the Lettings procedure and laws surrounding ASTs.

When we signed up for a property I mentioned that an admin fee of £360 was completely disproportionate to the work carried out for setting up a tenancy, considering most London agents charge up to £150. Unwilling to negotiate I was told to either pay or lose out on the property.

For the £360 we paid, we had to then correct Andrews 4 times as they consistently sent Contracts with simple errors and had not been astute enough to pick up on them.

We requested the property to be professionally cleaned on offer, and this was agreed but on the day we moved in, the house had clearly not been professionally cleaned.

Also on the day we moved in, we went to the property at the time allocated for our check in and no one showed up. I then had to call the office and ask what was going on. Our check in had not been put in the diary and the girl manning the office said it was an inconvenience as she would have to close the office to come to the house.

When we attempted to use the oven that had been "professionally cleaned", smoke came billowing out and it was unusable. When we mentioned this to the Landlord we had a staff member from Andrews come round the next day with some cleaning products and rubber gloves. It was safe to say that did not suffice and they ended up having to get someone round to properly professionally clean the oven.

Within a few days, we realised the house had a flea infestation despite being told the carpets had been professionally cleaned by the Landlord and we ended up spending close to £60 resolving the problem ourselves.

In my 11 years of renting, the check in and check out has been carried out by an independent clerk. Usually the tenant pays for one and the Landlord pays for the other. However, with Andrews we had a staff member do the 'check in' which no doubt was at no cost to the Landlord and in my opinion cannot be classed as independent. We are now having to pay for an independent clerk to do the check out.

Avoid at all costs!

Took the morning off work this morning, lost hundreds of pounds to go and look around a house - got there to find out the house has been sold and the Estate Agents SHOULD HAVE rung us to let us know.
ABSOLUTE waste of time, extremely unreliable, would absolutely recommend finding somewhere else.

Signed up with them for a property to let. The man in change of lettings made us feel inadequate and really silly the whole way through (we are young, this is only our second rental as a couple). We did not live in the area when starting to look, we had not yet found jobs but wanted to be aware of houses in the area so that we could move asap once we had found jobs. The man in charge of lettings found it down right hilarious that we were looking for a house without jobs in the area and made this very clear to us. Long story short we now both have jobs and have a lovely house for 725 a month from another agent as this agent promised to notify us of houses but did not, and when we called to ask about houses online, the lettings man was completely rude and actually laughed the entire way through my last phonecall with him. I would have hung up if I did not need a house. Thankfully we have not had to use them. Judgemental and rude.

Neal at Andrews in Tewkesbury has been extremely helpful with our sale, explaining all steps of the process and keeping in touch. House was sold on the day it went on the market! Andrews have also offered additional advice on both conveyancing and mortgages.

Matt and Steve have been so helpful with everything to do with our move. We had two initial viewings, various trips back to measure up and they went way beyond the call of duty by letting us have a two hour viewing so a friend could do a survey for us. Nothing was too much for them. I can’t recommend them highly enough, they are professional, courteous and friendly. They seemed genuinely happy for us when we got to exchange and we can’t fault them.
