Getting the deposit back after moving out has given me insight into the life of a performing monkey. The number of hoops we had to jump through was almost laughable, and we were frequently told after WEEKS of radio silence that we had in fact jumped through the wrong hoop. In total it took over 3 months to get our money back. SheffRes will do literally everything they can do keep your money and stiff you at every opportunity. They're pretty terrible in general, really. EXCELLENT!!! I highly recommend these guys. Amazing service, professional and exceed expectations. I read some of the reviews on here and it made me laugh as it’s the usual “snowflake” generation who simply don’t take responsibility for their own actions and then take to the internet as everything in life is always someone else’s fault!!! As a current tenant, we found the application process very easy online and a lot more advanced that other agents. Check in was done by an independent company (he was also great). We've been in the property for some time now and are impressed so far. Whenever we've had any maintenance issues they have been dealt with quickly. Both owners and tenant, AVOID. I am summarising my experience with Sheffield Residential agent in the word 'AVOID' dealing with them. Owners: The process goes fast and smooth, and that is the only positive point. The agent will not look after your property, and they will blame the tenants for any previous damages. They also do not do any repair job, and when the problem is accelerated to a higher authority, they will blame your authority and funds availability. Tenants: The agent looks dealing with professionalism, and that ends once you sign the contract, I promise. -Once you move in, the agent concern will be your money, find ways to make you pay more, take your deposit with no right. Although the owner supports the option of me receiving full deposit back, the agent detected my deposit for no evidenced reason. -The agent breaks their contract as they are not legally bound to it, while you are. -Any issue appears during your tenancy period; they will pretend to work on a solution for it, while they don't. You will end up fixing the damages and paying full rent while you don't use the whole property. -During my tenancy period, I had to deal with 4 of the agency employees, and they all follow the same system. It is an agent problem, not a single employee, So do not live in a hill by renting any property via them. -Tenants, please do not be fooled by the defensive reply they write under each negative reviews as they are not real. -All my points are evidenced, and I won cases against them. ????? ?????? ?? ?????? ????????? I’ve been living in my property for over a year and have recently had an issue with my boiler which had stopped working all of a sudden which wasn’t great but these things happen and I didn’t know how long it would take to get sorted. I reported it through their system and they had a contractor out the same day. The plumber hadn’t got the parts and had to go order but came back the next day fitted them and resolved our issue which was fantastic to have hot water back on again. I find the team great and easy to deal with Jordan is our property manager and I’ve dealt with Paul recently who was dealing with this maintenance issue and was great from start to finish. He even called me out of hours the day the boiler was fixed to make sure everything was ok and to make sure the contractor had fixed it and that there was hot water. As a former tenant who has left an apartment with this atrocious company, I urge you - DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY! If you are ever unfortunate enough to be a tenant for this company, please take this into consideration. They are awful. Truly awful. You will lose money, you will lose self respect and you will lose hours of sleep with stress. Me and my friends rented an apartment on West Street. Whilst the rent was reasonable, the apartment was actually terrible. It was falling to pieces! They lured us into renting the apartment at a low price because there wasn't many people wanting to rent at the time. They take good pictures, then mask the poor quality during the viewing. The location is good, as is the size, then that is it! My parents came to visit and I was actually mortified when they came into the property. It literally reduced my Mother to tears. I have spoken to others and I wish you all the best if you are unlucky enough to receive your contract and your landlord be Mav Iqbal and Paul Chambers the owners of the company (see companies house) and they have charged us so much extra from our deposit and we aren't the first ones for this to happen to. They inflate charges to make sure you simply cannot get your deposit back. Their reputation will catch up with them one day as we've spread the word as far and wide as we can and others have had similar experiences and agreed. They then tried to get us to extend the contract and pay an extra £400 per month. They literally forced our hand to leave! We would not have wanted to stay otherwise, as the apartment was so poor, but they made the decision for us! They have stolen our money and make the most complicated deposit return process to make it as hard as possible to get back. I know there is a process They do not carry out basic and urgent repairs, such as toilets (because we had another), kitchen appliances, windows. I have looked at the reviews and the bad ones appear to be accurate and the good ones appear to be a false counter argument with a standard response template to make a positive out of the previous review's negative. It wouldn't surprise me to see a positive review after this one to say I rented an apartment that was top quality, I got my deposit back in a week etc etc. For all your worth, please rent a property from a different agency/landlord as your experience than with this calamity company could not be worse.... Me and my flatmate are international students from Cyprus. We looked around a lot of properties with Sheffield Residential. Our other friends also from Cyprus did the same and signed up to other flats. We found the staff very very friendly and so helpful. They helped us with the online Application which was very easy to complete. Application was approved in two days and then we signed the tenancy agreement the day after. The communication has been great and we are impressed. The flat is also great! We find some agents in Sheffield are a bit rude to international students so Sheffield Residential staff really stood out from the crowd.We would definitely recommend to others!... Read more

Amazing! I’ve had nothing but an amazing experience. I was allowed to view as many properties as I wanted and the staff were so attentive and took their time to help me. When I applied for the property, the whole process was just so easy. The application was all online and documents were also submitted online. Very easy, online process. Application approved within 24 hours. Got a check in as I wanted and ever since moving into my new rental, things have been great other than a water leak from under the sink but I was impressed as the plumber came out within the hour. HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR TENANTS!! I have been a tenant in Sheffield for 3 years now and have used other agencies and Sheffield Residential are by far the best agent we have ever used! Both myself and my flatmate are from Cyprus and lots of our other friends from Cyprus also use Sheffield Residential and have never had any issues whatsoever. We are always treated well by the very friendly team. Our contact point is Jordan who is fantastic! They are great at communicating and the initial sign up process was easy and we got help at every stage. After moving in, we had 2 maintenance issues - we followed the procedure and someone was out within days to fix stuff. Superb. Recommended.... Read more

We have just bought our first home from Sheffield residential and from start to finish we have been extremely happy with the service we have received. We have been looked after by Ed and he has worked hard to keep us informed with the progress of the sale and helped bridge communications when things seemed to be stalling between our solicitors and the sellers solicitors. But we completed yesterday and now me, my boyfriend, our 6 month old daughter an son our two dogs finally have our perfect home! I couldn’t fault this estate agents at all.
