Sweetings have rented out my house for several years.
From the beginning I let it out is has been effortless and they secured me a fantastic rental rate.
The tenants were all checked and have been wonderful tenants. Any issues they have raised have been dealt with immediately by one of Sweetings many tradesmen. Always at a sensible price.

This company manages a property on Park Lane in Croydon. They recently oversaw some works including the planting of some young trees. They're dying in the dry weather. The Chatsworth Residents Association informed them of this and their response was that they were happy to see the trees die rather than arrange for them to be watered. I wonder what their ESG policy is.... Read more

Dreadful interpersonal skills towards their tenants of several years. Our standing order failed for first time and we were harassed and treated like criminals for nearly 3 weeks while we were on holiday. No apology when we had returned and explained our reasons - It was a £90 rent for a garage for goodness sake! The sarcastic response below says all you need to know about these people. They had our deposit to sit on until our return so we are unsure of the reasons for the major urgency. Maybe cash-flow problems after a messy Christmas?
Update: See how many times he says he contacted us? Harassment like I said! Thanks for confirming. He has also removed his rude and sarcastic comment.
Nonsense about saying we were short of funds. It went OD by £20 and then I moved a few thousand back into it from another business.
Here is the first email response from us to prove he is lying:
7th Jan - "Sorry for the delay, we’ve been having a bit of no-business family time and were back yesterday.
I had to send several thousand to a stock supplier in early December for the upcoming season but it put us £20 overdrawn. I can’t believe they’ve stopped a direct debit for such a small amount. There is plenty of money in the account now. Can you re-process the direct debit?" - So contrary to what Stephen says we fabricated, we had the funds in that same first email but assumed he would just pull the money out as usual - he replied on the 8th saying he couldn't just take the money because it was a standing order.
After returning shortly we then took more time off to deal with a death but the emails continued like "business as usual". Stephen is a Robot!
He says I was looking for compassion in a later email? NO! I just wanted to explain why certain things had been put on hold for heavens sake.
Big attitude with little patience and seems like they are on the financial brink if just £90 is so important. To put this into context we've paid them over £4000 during our tenancy.
In his email, just 2 weeks after our first response he threatened to change the locks!!
How does it prove we have bad cashflow if we transferred a few grand into it that same day? I don't understand your logic? Bad cashflow is when you have no reserves of any kind.
2) As already mentioned, we came back for a day or two then had the other personal problem to deal with. You still had the deposit as security so what was the problem?... Read more

We have been the preferred heating and plumbing company for Sweetings for many years now. They are one of the best agents to work for as if we recommend something to them regarding heating and plumbing, they 99% of the time get the permission of the landlord to do the works. The works we suggest make the tenants lives either easier, better or more comfortable. If only every agent looked after their tenants like Sweetings do the world would be a bit of a happier place....
