I have dealt with thomlinsons for nearly 13 years and have always found the staff to be friendly if I had any issues they were dealt with as soon as they could I have mostly dealt with Jane Bruce at wetherby what a lovely lady Jane is my emails and calls were always replied to as soon as possible I have not ever not had a response Jane is knowledgeable on all aspects of housing matters and is a kind caring lady I would not hesitate to use thomlinsons again... Bad rental experience here. No keys given at check in, they hoped they'd been left in the house (doesn't fill you with confidence having driven 115 miles with a van full of your belongings). Also had no information on where any of the meters etc. were, nor did the landlord. After their 'deep clean' before we moved in (which I presume the landlord paid for), we found feaces under a bed, cigarettes between the sofa cushions, what seemed to be insects in the curtains and the cupboards were filthy, but they refused to return. Once they've got you committed to a property, they don't seem to care. *Reply to their response below - We DID contact you at the time and you said you "would not be returning to the property." And no, I've not got the wrong agent.... Read more

Possibly the worst Estate Agents in the Wetherby area.I phoned the office with a simple but specific query about a property, The woman on the phone was extremely rude, would not allow me to speak and was very dismissive.Customer service at its absolute worst.A stark contrast to my conversations with Renton and Parr and Hunters, where staff went out of their way to help me. Jayne/Julie, whatever your name is, perhaps consider a career where you don't have to deal with the general public as you're clearly not cut out for the role. Management take note, train your staff to understand the difference between customer service and customer disservice.... Read more

Thomlinsons are the management company for a flat I own. After leaving messages and emailing it took another call to get a response from the staff there who failed to provide any reassurance that ongoing issues are resolved. They then tried to blame the fact I rent the property out through another agent as the reason for any delays. If you can avoid using Thomlinsons I would. It's a shame changing management company is so difficult. Try and avoid talking to Jane Bruce as she is rude, condescending, unhelpful and puts the phone down on you rather than listens and responds in a professional and helpful way.... Read more

After speaking with Anna in regards to our rental property we were getting on fine. Until I had the unfortunate event of speaking to her colleague Jane, who may I add has a horrible attitude. We have moved into a property which has rats in the loft, was thick in dust and spiders nests and has ants flooding under the front door (not ideal when I'm pregnant). After sending a polite email to Anna explaining my issues, her colleague Jane then called me to say 'she was going to lay it out straight for me' (very rude way of opening a call with a customer) and that we would have to pay a £300 fee if we were to move out. I was only trying to simply ask Jane a question which was what is my right as a tenant in this situation, well how dare I ask! Jane then started raising her voice down the phone saying 'I am not going into this with you, I am here to lay it out straight for you and thats it' and then terminated my call. On top of that I had one other occasion with Jane who was again, unfortunately filling in for Anna which I wish was not the case. She asked if I have any CCJ's or credit defaults, which I do not and neither does my partner, being two young professionals who work hard to keep our credit scores in good condition. She was then asking numerous times in a condescending way 'are you sure because you need to tell me now if you do' as though to doubt that we can even pay our way in the world and afford to pay our rent on time. Very much the worst estate agent employee I have ever had to deal with. Worst customer experience I've ever had from an individual, thanks for nothing Jane, not exactly an exemplary employee of Thomlinsons.... Read more

The Sales Team at Thomlinsons, Sara, Ben and Keith have been fantastic. They were all very helpful, informative and cheerful. Moving house is a stressful experience and only with their help and intervention in dealing with the buyer's estate agent, the buyer's solicitors and by keeping us informed all the time that the move became less painful. Deserve no stars. I tried calling Thomlinsons to make an offer on some land in South Milford on the 28.12.17 I was told by Anna that Peter would call me on the 02.01.18...No call! I phoned again on the 3rd and spoke to Ben he just told me that Peter was dealing with the land and he would get him call me...He didnt call me. 04.01.18 I emailed them through the on the market website...still no reply! Phoned again on the 05.01.17 and spoke to Anna she told me she would get Pete to call me. Now the 8th Jan I give up!! My house sold in less than a week in November.. I am sooo glad that I didnt use Thomlinsons. If the vendor of the land at South Milford ever reads this I would suggest that you use another estate agent!!!... Read more

We have just sold our property through Thomlinsons and we couldn't have been happier with the service they provided. The selling of our property was stressful to say the least with lots of bumps along the way that were out of anyone's control. However the guys at Thomlinsons always went above and beyond to help us out whenever and wherever they could. They have to be the most helpful and friendliest bunch of people we have ever had the pleasure of working with. The communication and regular updates were constant and someone was always there to help with anything we needed, from simply answering enquires to chasing other agents and solicitors. Given 1 star because it is not possible to give 0. Avoid them at all costs! We paid them to fully manage our rental property for 3 years and they did anything but. We had to chase for rent on numerous occasions as Thomlinson's failed to notify us the tenants hadn't paid. They charge ridiculous amounts for repairs so we ended up organising them ourselves. To top it all off the house has been handed back to us with damage & we're told it's wear & tear....how are rips & stains on what was a brand new carpet wear & tear?! And that's not all by a long shot, the list goes on. We have used other letting agents in the past for a different property & never had these issues with them so heed my advice and take your business elsewhere!... Read more
