Really disappointed to have made an appointment to view a property confirmed via the phone last weekend to have nobody turn up to the property today. Apparently if you don’t get a text or email confirmation you should assume it is not a confirmed appointment whether verbally agreed or not. Tried to call this morning to confirm again just to be sure but nobody to answer the phone. Phoned whilst at the property and told no appointment, apologised and offered for appointment next weekend, no thanks don’t want to waste another weekend. Small admin errors but can have costly consequences if you are missing out on sales commission. Oh well.

Should not be allowed to operate the way that they do, withholding extremely important & legally required to disclose information about the state of a property from potential buyers until a price has already been negotiated. Comes across as completely dishonest and deceitful.

As first time buyers looking for a house is very exciting unfortunately this time round has been a disappointment a house that we would have loved to view come on the market last Saturday we then emailed them on the Sunday asking if we could book a viewing after no response for the 5 emails that we sent I then decided to ring them on the Wednesday to be told that they are happy to do a viewing but would need to speak to the seller to see when is available thinking positive I thought I would hear back from them that day or early the next but no nothing I then emailed again asking what was going on once again no response I then rang them again to be told that an offer was put in Monday and they are waiting to hear back from it and they will let me know again nothing then my boyfriend rang up to be told that the offer has been accepted but they could pencil us in for a view incase something doesn’t go right when they needed to cancel the appointment I had a phone call a text and an email if only we had that to let us know what was going on! Very disappointed

Jonathan and the team at Tinsley Garner were extremely professional. From Jonathan coming to appraise our home and having it on the market took less than a week!
We had to take our home off the market due to a change in circumstances, however we had more viewings with them for the three weeks it was advertised for, than we did with another agent that we were with for 2 months!
When it’s time to sell again, we’ll be using Tinsley Garner.

I’ve been dealing with Johnathan over the last few weeks regarding looking at a new property in Stafford. He’s been so helpful and amenable and nothing has been too much trouble. He wasn’t pushy at all and he is so polite and friendly. An absolute breath of fresh air. Best dealings I’ve had with an estate agent. Highly recommended!

Andrew Garner dealt with the sale personally, took on board our input and nothing was ever too much trouble. The whole team were professional but always extremely friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone selling their house!

Totally professional.
One of the best estate agents i have dealt with ,the staff in the office are polite caring and understands the clients needs and will go out of their way to help you .They are very responsive with phone calls and emails .
Mr Garner on 2 occasions went out of his way to show me and my family a property, one being on a Friday evening.
Mr Garner was and has always been professional with myself ,has a good rapport with people ,definitely will recommend this business.

Shambles to be honest!
Tried to deal with this company who really do not care at all for you the customer . I honestly believe that they are totally in this business for as much money they can get out of you ..the customer... that is possible!
We put in a couple of offers on a property in Staffordshire . They do not come back to you and when they do...they blame their vendor! What they are really doing is pushing the market in their favor by making you the customer spend more than you really need to . What actually happened to professional honesty? We actually spoken to a neighbor who had exactly the same issue with this same estate agent when he too tried to purchase the exact same property that we were after. He advised us to steer clear of them and leave well alone. He has since purchased a nearby property and he is more than happy now.
What has been said before is actually quite true...that being ...they really believe that they are above us all! You have to honestly step back and listen to what it is ....they don't say ! Arrogant and very unprofessional as already stated on here by others.
Feel sorry for those who have taken them on . Especially the owner of the property in Staffordshire....he has not a real clue on what it is that is happening regarding his property whilst he is away out of the country.
We are still waiting a reply for an offer we put in on this property 4 days ago! I will not hold my breath .......Life is just too short !

I had no issues with this letting agency during my 1.5 year tenancy. Sadly, on leaving the property after spending two days cleaning it, Tinsley Garner have made a dishonest attempt to charge me £42 in professional cleaning fees. I was informed that "the windows need cleaning and the inside isn't clean enough". When I requested specific information, I received photos that included dust on outside windowsills, dust on the washing machine handle, and a smudge mark on a cupboard door which was left from cleaning. Do not expect your full deposit back unless you fork out for a professional cleaning service. Such a shame, as I had a positive relationship with TG up until this point. I am sure they will leave an unprofessional response accusing me of being a troll, as they have done with the many other 1 star reviews. I suggest that they start acting more professionally and listen to feedback.

I found them very unprofessional and they left me feeling humiliated and embarrassed after my phone call with them, I called regarding a property that went online that day to be told not to bother going for a viewing because if it was between us and someone else she would pick the others. I'm sorry but isn't the business meant to work with the clients and help them find a property not just disregard them if there maybe a few issues? this is not the first time we have had issues with this company and now know to definitely steer clear.

i was looking to rent a property (meadowside way stone) and from the first they were curt unfriendly and patronising -when we had an agreement in place and had paid an upfront fee with a move in date agreed i had a death in the family and went to lancaster to sort-in the time i was away a small minded person called garner phoned my partner and conned him into paying £200 on some sort of premise that it would secure the property even though it was agreed with the so called lettings manager tracey -i thought that upfront payments were outlawed and any company who tried it on should be ostracized-does this not prove the levels this rubbish company seems to stoop to- then when i told them i would not be continuing with this rental due to this action by this non entity of a small man called garner-NO CONTACT!!!-i have tried to sort this with them through 4 emails in 3 days and not once have they had the common decency to reply-again proves my point showing the nature of these useless incompetent conmen who run this shambolic non company-AVOID like covid 19 !!!!!!!!!!-look at the other reviews!!!!!-i will sue these conmen to get my funds back that they openly conned my partner out of!!!! carter.j 31/10/20 update in answer to their reply-the reply was written by the very small minded person who ripped us off in the first place-we had a family death which elongated the application and the lettings manager accepted this but this small minded person garner then decided to rip us off with the above charges-that is why we decided to change our mind and went to a proper lettings company not stay with these complete charlatans!!!!

AVOID AVOID AVOID! Mr Garner is a vile vile man who uses bullying tactics. If you have any problems what so ever with your property and call them to sort it out, they will use every thing that they can to avoid doing anything about it. Tracey is just as bad. They are a fine agency if nothing goes wrong with you property or if you do not need to contact them, but if you do you may as well either live with it or pay it out yourself and sort your own problems out.
The care and compassion of these people is unbelievable, especially if you have young infants or disabled family members.
We could have took action and was advised to do so but didnt want any more bother. Quite frankly, i never want to hear from Mr Garner ever again. Our mental health has been ruined from our experiences with them. I genuinely have no idea how they havent already had action taken against them. after discussing this in the local community hall, its become apparent that quite a few people have had similar issues with them.

It wasn't busy when we got their. Lady who showed us to our table wasn't pleasant. Showed us to a dirty table which clearly some kid had tipped salt all over. She went to get a cloth to wipe it up. (very poorly cleaned, I sat down and used the napkins to up more salt that she didn't bother to do properly. Unfortunately the floor and seat was also covered in salt, I asked to be moved felt like I was putting her out, was friendly, didn't even smile, I know it's not her fault but I don't want to sit at a dirty table and should not feel like I'm making a big issue of it.
CHAP who then served us was piloite and helpful.
FOOD was good, we all enjoyed. Unfortunately not enough options I. The childrens menu, but that's just our opinion as we have a child who like steak and chicken (not your normal chicken nuggets) please do adult meal as a smaller option for kids.

The level of incompetence is absolutely outstanding in this company.!
* No communication (unless being threatened)
* Very demanding and obnoxious.
* On countless occasions they have threatened to enter the property last minute.
* Abusive emails sent sometimes on a daily basis.
* Paid £1000 deposit and £1000 rent up front and upped the deposit by another £100 for no reason.
I highly recommend people steer clear of this “company” dealing with them is a whole world of pain and stress!

My husband and I have had a rental property managed by Tinsley Garner since 2012 (until 2018) and we have been very happy with the service offered by the agents.
Over the years issues with the property has been dealt with very efficiently which kept our tenants happy. In fact, we have never been without tenants.
The agents always acted professionally and gave advice that reflected many years of experience.
To see comments on insults and unprofessionalism is really not in line with our experience but may stem from a quick encounter with the agents instead of years experience with them.
We will definitely be using Tinsley Garner when we are in the market for property again.

really unprofessional and totalling insulting. Andrew Garner is a very unpleasant man, when told the valuation from 3 other estate agents he became rude "your place is hardly Mayfair", My husband and I both have businesses and he was suggesting we lived in slums and were poverty stricken. If he hates his job that much he really shouldn't do it. Someone with that little passion cannot sell. His tactic is pile em high sell it cheap. He was boasting of selling a house in 3 days at the asking price, obviously too cheap. He then went on to criticise my partner for getting the house at a bargain. I could go on..... however suffice to say, avoid, avoid,avoid!!!

Completely unprofessional and only out for what they can get.
They refused to fix a shower within a rental property for 6 months and when another issue arose which would have left me with no shower or bath, they refused point blank to refund the charges of the repair of the bath tap. They take no responsibility for their actions and rather than value their customers and treat them with respect, they take what they can and the act in such a bitter manor.
Their tenancy agreements aren't worth the paper they are written on. If you do have the misfortune of getting involved with them, I would strongly suggest you gather as much evidence as possible of any issues or complaints you are almost certain to make and put everything in writing - no telephone calls.
Rude, obnoxious, greedy people with no morals.

Tinsley & Garner are a pair of reprobates. They purposely over value properties just to get the sales contract and to get the property on their books. Then after 3 to 4 months with no/little interest they recommend that you lower the asking price. Have you checked on Rightmove to see how many of their properties get reduced after 3 months!
Before setting up T&G Ltd the two directors had no estate agency experience and currently are not a member of any estate agent/surveyor regulatory body or organisation.

This Estate Agent seems to fall far short of any level of good customer service I have ever received.
Having reached an agreement to rent a property and made arrangements with staff members to complete the administration process and in so doing travelled some distance (100 miles). On entering the office was clearly told by the "Manager", the said property had been rented by someone else. He then promptly disappeared off downstairs to leave a female member of staff to deal with the fall out.
In my view, when somebody gives you their word that an agreement has been reached, then it is entirely appropriate that it is adhered to and if not then common decency would dictate that you inform the customer of the change in situation and apologise, instead of allowing them to travel 100's of miles and be out of pocket as a result.
In my view when somebody gives you their word on any subject then that should stand for something. We acted in good faith and have ended up being out of pocket through no fault of our own.
