STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY ! I have so many issue with this company and I'm renting out with them. - Rude and unprofessional ! - Zero communication and never get back to you when needed. They want to kick me out on 2 weeks notice because there's a leak and the property is inabitable. Even considered I have no responsibility over that and as a tenant I should be protected, they want to take legal action to have me out !!! Ridiculous !!!!!!... Read more

I wouldn’t recommend this agency. Just avoid it. They keep begging for positive reviews, that’s why they’ve so misleading profiles on every rating site. The viewings are professional, the communication is okay before signing the contract, however they keep asking for positive reviews whenever they solve a problem, so I think their positive reviews are not trustworthy. After signing the contract, the communication change, it’s usually either poor or passive aggressive. I didn’t get proper inventory and evidence of meters/the flat’s condition, in the contract they included that I can’t change utility providers even though I’m paying the bills, not the landlord. Maintenance is not properly taken care of, I have complaints/maintenance requests unanswered for about 3 months and they disregard their own complaint procedure. The utility billing is also questionable, I get invoices on my own name by a provider and on the invoice Centrick is named as the company I’ve to pay my utility bills for. I got to the point where I’ve no other option but trying to resolve the issues through the Property Ombudsman, asking for direct contact with the landlord and also requesting the early termination of the rental agreement. I wonder what tricky ways they still have to avoid being accountable for the mistakes and poor service they provide. It’s a waste of money and incredibly nerve racking to deal with this agency.... I don't often write a review unless absolute recognition is required. Stuart MacDiarmid from the Centrick, Birmingham office has just completed a sale for me. From our first meeting through to completion, Stuart has been absolutely outstanding, keeping me up to date regularly and driving issues to conclusion promptly. His professional, calm approach gave me a high level of TRUST meaning I could relax throughout the whole journey. If your buying or selling in Birmingham, well its simple - Ring Centrick and ask for Stuart. Absolute Legend!!!... Read more

I have been looking to invest in a flat in Birmingham, and Centrick Birmingham has made this process very straightforward. When calling up to get some information about the area and current developments, primarily speaking to Christiana Plati, I was given an overview of the key regions and essential developments in the city. Christiana had also recommended looking in the outskirts of Birmingham, where there are good opportunities for investors. A few months later, I had secured a flat at the very centre of the city, and I contact Centrick again where Christiana referred me to James Dunn. James has helped me with the marketing and letting process of my flat, not only by putting it online and arranging viewings but also by providing frequent market updates, making recommendations for improvement in the flat and finally securing a tenant despite the very challenging times with COVID-19 and high availability. I will undoubtedly choose Centrick again because they have been professional, fair and knowledgeable for lettings and sales in the Midlands.... Read more

I would advise not to rent with these agents. Lots of issues wrong with the property very much like the other reviews on rentals the communication is not good. The contractors that are used to do the work are not reliable. And when you report issues no one answers you via the reporting website you have to chase constantly. Really stressful. I would also mention the first part getting you in the property was excellent and extremely efficient. However maintenance issues absolute nightmare.... Read more

I would advise anybody looking to rent a property to look elsewhere - no matter how nice the property, or how well priced. I lived for a year with a leak coming through my kitchen ceiling, and for months with a leaking dishwasher and a host of other maintenance issues. The maintenace team make up a different story each time you contact them (they especially love sending people round to complete a quote for repair work but then never actually having the repairs carried out). Their teams are poorly educated with regard to tenants legal rights and they operate under the assumption tenants will have neither the money or time to pursue them through the courts. I actually ended up having legal counsel in order to leave the property. Having lived in London and elsewhere in the UK I have dealt with many agents - centrick are by far the worst.... Read more
