The boss – Jonathon Cook – sold us a blighted property on behalf of his friend. Cook’s wife – a local Hereford solicitor - did the conveyance for the family friend too and we were unwittingly sold a property that was next to a planned major new road scheme in Hereford. The road didn’t show up on the local search and so we were stuffed by Jonathon Cook, and his friend (who knew all about the road scheme having been identified by the Council to be a resident ‘most affected’ by the road). Yes, we successfully sued the greedy, conniving vendor who failed to mention the road on his SPIF but our move to Hereford was effectively ruined. Jonathon Cook said he didn’t know anything about the road (SLR) despite being born and bred in Hereford and, as we’ve since found out, it’s all anyone ever talks about. We were new to the area and believe Cook et al took advantage of that to sell us a blighted property. If he can do it to us, he can do it to you too. BEWARE.
