I'm living in a house at present, which is being sold by the landlord, and the landlords paying extra for reads rains to promote and push for a sale, we've had 3 viewings in 3 weeks and on 2 occasions no member of reeds rains has been present to show them around the house, it's been left to my wife and I, if this is how the company portrays itself, I can't ever see them winning estate agents of the year.

AVOID buying or selling with this estate agent. I purchased a property with these scam fake uneducated estate agent also manager by the name of NIGEL, After showing your D.I.P the property should of been off the market, I showed my mortgage offer to secure the property, I paid all the fees, mortgage broker - £600, valuation fee - £458, coal mining report - £385, local searches - £425, solicitor fees - £432. mortgage application fee - £600 and other costs I can't remember over £1000 etc... AFTER ALL THIS NIGEL PLAYED A DIRTY GAME... he took money under the table for himself from a cash buyer who was interested in the property after 8 weeks and gazumped us!!! Instead of taking the property off the market in the beginning He kept the property on for sale after 8 weeks. The cash buyer offered £10,000 more than myself. To keep the property as I didn't want to lose it after spending so much money I had to price match and find another £10,000 to purchase the property. NIGEL was responsible for this, if he had done his job properly and took the house off the market, the other buyer wouldn't of had a chance to even put an offer forward. In the beginning the house was on sale for £159,995. The valuator said it was only worth £140,000. If NIGEL was a good estate agent he would of told the seller the house is only worth that much and told them to lower the price, So instead of gaining £10,000 we lost out on triple all because of greedy NIGEL. STAY AWAY and I wouldn't recommend this agent at all. He is rude unhelpful and self centred.

Terrible service received by a representative of this company. I would give no stars if that was an option. Ignored an email to view the house, then I chased it and got an appointment. Was very abrupt tried blindingly obvious sales techniques that were laughable. Told me It was going to Auction if no offer was made by the end of the week, told me the owners wanted it sold within 4 weeks, I did make an offer on email, proving I had the finance in place ( As I was told to). didn't even get a reply. Worried because I sent my passport and bank statements and was told he had received it - God knows why he didn't acknowledge it, was very unprofessional. Considering I was told it had to be sold within four weeks, and an offer had to be made by the end of the week, it took 2 days short of 4 weeks to decline my offer. This I was only informed of because I chased them. I raised my offer by email - Again no reply so I called to confirm receipt to which I was told someone made an offer the day before which was accepted. Funny how an offer was accepted so quick when I was told it was a company that owned it and they always took up to 4 weeks to rely. Asked for code of conduct and complaints procedure as it felt very very dodgy - Obviously no reply. Awful company - Stay away
