Sterling Estate Agents was founded in 1991 by Nigel Crabtree who has been successfully selling property across North Wales accumulating a vast knowledge of the local area and property market. Nigel entered the profession back in 1971 with one of the oldest established companies in North Wales gaining valuable experience in all aspects of estate agency. In 1987 Nigel became a Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agent. In October 2018 and 2019 we were winners of the United Kingdom Property Awards Real Estate for Best Estate Agency Single Office in the County of Conwy.

Nigel was extremely professional in his approach, he took his time listening to us about the property, measured all the rooms, walked round the large garden noting all the interesting features, informed us of his intention of highlighting certain aspects of our cottage which we we had taken for granted. He discussed the general marketing of other properties in the area as regards to price and compared what we had to offer before coming to a figure which we found acceptable. Nigel was quick organising the photography and getting our property onto the market. He was continually updating and informing us of progress and within a very short space of time had found a buyer who offered us the asking price. Since then he has acted swiftly to move the sale along and we are looking forward hopefully to completing the sale. We are very impressed with Sterlings and would recommend it to anyone thinking of selling their property.... Read more

I was reminded of selling my house a couple of years ago, as another house I owned before has come on the market, being presented beautifully on right move by Sterlings. When I put my house on the market with them, the whole process went really well. By the end of the first week of it going on the market, I had 3 viewings booked on the Friday and two offers. One of those buyers ended up buying the house. I was Professionally guided and advised throughout the course of the sale. Booked valuation of my mother's house, came from Rhyl to Colwyn Bay and they did not show up! Called them and was told that their agent had tried to get access when we were all waiting in the front for them. When I said I wasn't very happy the guy on the phone said his agent was not either... totally unprofessional. They have lost out on the opportunity to advertise the property.... Read more

Didn't like it at all Initial impression on entering the shop was that there were four people waiting to jump on me. Second was the unavoidable smell of BO. Third was that they really couldn't be bothered to help me because what I wanted from them was not going to make them any money. Not impressed and most certainly will not be selling a house through them.... Read more

AVOID buying or selling with this estate agent. I purchased a property with these scam fake uneducated estate agent also manager by the name of NIGEL, After showing your D.I.P the property should of been off the market, I showed my mortgage offer to secure the property, I paid all the fees, mortgage broker - £600, valuation fee - £458, coal mining report - £385, local searches - £425, solicitor fees - £432. mortgage application fee - £600 and other costs I can't remember over £1000 etc... AFTER ALL THIS NIGEL PLAYED A DIRTY GAME... he took money under the table for himself from a cash buyer who was interested in the property after 8 weeks and gazumped us!!! Instead of taking the property off the market in the beginning He kept the property on for sale after 8 weeks. The cash buyer offered £10,000 more than myself. To keep the property as I didn't want to lose it after spending so much money I had to price match and find another £10,000 to purchase the property. NIGEL was responsible for this, if he had done his job properly and took the house off the market, the other buyer wouldn't of had a chance to even put an offer forward. In the beginning the house was on sale for £159,995. The valuator said it was only worth £140,000. If NIGEL was a good estate agent he would of told the seller the house is only worth that much and told them to lower the price, So instead of gaining £10,000 we lost out on triple all because of greedy NIGEL. STAY AWAY and I wouldn't recommend this agent at all. He is rude unhelpful and self centred.... Read more
