Absolute joke of company didn’t sort leaked I reported at the start of the tenancy spent 8 months chasing this nothing got done lost all my own carpets that cost me over 700 pound due to the leak then when I’d have a enough and refused to pay rent I got told I have 48 hours to move out my deposit was never put in to a protection scheme which it clearly said it would be on my Tenancy agreement which I am seeking legal advice over mark is a first class you know what... I would not recommend this company to landlords or tenants. At the end of our tenancy we had great difficultly recovering our deposit. It was only after our tenancy had ended that we were made aware our deposit had never been protected due to an admin error that neither Active Lettings or the DPS took responsibility for. Despite where the fault lay Active Lettings had been aware of the situation throughout our 15 month tenancy and did not let us know. I had to chase Active Lettings relentlessly in order to get updates on the situation. When updates were provided they were less than satisfactory.... Read more

I contacted them regarding a property. The guy thru the phone gave me a date for a viewing. And 5 minutes before he called to say that the door lock was not opening so he had to cancel the viewing. I called several times during the next days to book an other viewing and he said that the property was let. This man was rude and not professional at all.... Read more

Another unprofessional outfit. Mark who I dealt with is clearly incompetent and deserves sacking. I arranged to view a property, had to chase him several times for a viewing. Once it was confirmed, I called him on the day of the viewing to be told "Sorry its been let". They should be on Rogue Traders.... Read more

I have used Active since 2011. Initially i gave them one property to let - now they manage 6 of my houses. They are very honest and pay the rent quickly. When a property becomes empty they usually fill / avoid voids quickly and before they relet it they discuss the results of the referencing checks with me for my approval. If works are needed above a pre agreed level they seek approval first so i do not get any surprises... Read more

I have dealt with Jean and the other girls for over 3 years and have always found them efficient and courteous. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to other landlords. They are most effective in finding tenants and referencing them. They regularly visit my properties, identifying repairs and improvements for the benefit of myself and my tenants. I presently manage all my own properties. However, whenever a property becomes empty I always use Active Lettings on a tenant find fee basis. I must say they vet any prospective tenants very thoroughly and do not just let to the first person who applies. I like to meet any prospective tenants before giving the go ahead which Active always arrange. To date, I have always approved of their tenant choices.
