Absolute cowboys they charge for a maintenance contract and don't do anything at all ! They are meant to clean the place and fix any problems! But haven't bothered with the place for over 10 years! But still bill everyone £400 a year for doing nothing!!! They need taking to court!!!... Read more

I can't thank borran shaw enough for the services they have offered to me even with me mithering them about the process and getting all the reference and payments over to them they was very personal professional and patient with me. We did not have a good experience with Borron Shaw at all, miscommunication/lack of communication is actually shocking! they would ring sometimes arranging a viewing with hours notice after agreeing we need at least 48hrs before signing up with them, they would organise the calendar in such an odd way, ringing us about a viewing for example the 9th of April, then after that would say 'and there's one on the 3rd of April too' why they wouldn't start with the earliest first is bizarre. They dont seem to carry out the checks the website professes they do as we had multiple people turn up who said they couldn't afford the property and just wanted to see inside, even though we told Borron Shaw to only book in people who were in a position to buy, we even had one who's house wasn't up for sale yet...why they were booked in we'll never know. We had one viewing where we were only at a friends a few houses down, and they rang to say the agent was outside in a yellow car...there was no yellow car in the drive, outside the house...or the street so I've no idea where he was or how they communicate with each other. It was only after all this when we spoke to friends who said they had similar experiences. We've withdrawn from them now, wont be using in the future, they once had a good reputation but it seems the business has lost its way, we had a reply from one of the team about how only one viewing couldn't afford the property which was incorrect, the email was also full of spelling mistakes, a professional business who doesn't proof read its emails to clients is such a red flag as it takes seconds to do before pressing send, it was like they wanted to just fire a reply out to us as fast as possible, almost argumentative. Not a brand I can trust.... Read more

We recently purchased a property through Borron Shaw and they were wonderful, particularly Nadine and Rickie who I spoke with the most often. We moved from Kent, so we requested to see the property virtually before making an offer, which they were very helpful with. Throughout the process they were very quick to respond to emails and very helpful speaking to the vendor on our behalf. The mortgage advisor and solicitors they directed us to were similarly very good. Completion was such a hectic day, and they were extremely patient with us, which is impressive as I'm sure they have a lot of anxious clients! It was a pleasure to finally meet Nadine when we arrived and we were given a very sweet bag with tea for us to make in our new home. Cannot recommend them highly enough!... Read more

Rung up to sort a viewing on a rental property that they have advertised, said they are just taking name a numbers and putting people on a waiting list, I've seen the property and it's vacant, I have the money to pay 6 months rent up front, madness if that was my property and they was just taking name and numbers I would be fuming, don't advertise a property if its not ready for people to move in straight away,... I’d avoid this estate agent. Just puts a blanket ban on all pets. And doesn’t really liaise with landlords to see if they would consider it. Not very helpful. Claims ‘insurance purpose’ which under the new tenancy act law it’s not a valid excuse for no pets... Read more
